•"That movie was really wack as fuck", Gracie said as she ended the Netflix movie. To be honest, I wasn't even paying attention, so I had no right to create a judgement. I was in and out of my thoughts, trying to wrap my thoughts around everything that had happened tonight.
"Hello BB, I know you hear me talking to you", Gracie said while slightly kicking my leg.
"I actually didn't, sorry. What did you say"? She pointed towards the door, "I'm about to go and get some snacks from the kitchen, you want anything"? I shrugged, "Just bring me whatever you're eating".
I laid my head against the headboard until she returned with the snacks. About two minutes later, Gracie came back into the room, humming, placing the snacks onto her bed.
"I know you aren't still thinking about the club, you're overthinking BB". I sighed, picking up one of the twinkies she'd brought into the room. "I'm not overthinking, I'm just shocked. Like, I haven't seen him in years Gracie".
It was a usual Saturday night, bartending at Starlets. After working my shift, I'd usually go home alone or go to Gracie's house and have a girls night. I didn't look at this day much different. The club was packed like every weekend, and I was making so much money off tips, so I was loving it.
"Let me get a Henny on the rocks, light on the ice though", a customer said causing me to look up. "I got you", I said while walking over to the back of my bar section, making the drink. Once I was finished, I gave him his drink, watching him pull a crispy fifty-dollar bill from his wallet. "Thanks beautiful", I nodded my head, giving him a slight smile as he walked away.
I glanced over at Gracie's bar, which had a few customers, but not as many as mine. I made a mental note to send my next few customers over to her, making sure she'd leave with just as many tips as me tonight. I found myself sending about five people over to her, while I worked on making a series of margaritas for an entire party of people, which I hated making. I wasn't a heavy drinker, so I hated making mixed drinks. I found simple drinks like Henny or Patron on the rocks to be my favorite.
After I finished making the last of my drinks, Johnnie walked up. Johnnie was a usual customer, barely ever missed a weekend. Whether he was here for his own personal pleasure or helping assist celebrities that partied in the VIP section, he seemed to always be here. "Hey Johnnie, what the fuck you want"? I asked, making him laugh as he took a seat at my bar section.
