"I'm so tired," I said to myself as I got off of the sprinter, followed by Dave. We had finally arrived to Maryland, and our first stop was the hotel. The ride was so uncomfortable, and I wanted nothing more than a good nap before doing anything else.

Dave and his dad helped with luggage, while I carried Kairi on my hip. His mom checked us into our rooms, and I was definitely more than relieved once she placed our room key into my hand.

Dave and I had our own suite, while his parents had their own. We were going to spend a few hours resting, and then head over to Dave's grandmother house to meet some of his family. I was sort of nervous, I was being introduced as his wife and I didn't really know anyone besides his parents. I did meet his two siblings when we were younger, but they were kids and I wasn't necessarily sure if they actually remembered me. He told me that his family was cool though, so I just hoped that they accepted me with a warm welcome.

After they were finished with everything, Kairi went to the room with her grandparents. Me and Dave changed into something more comfortable, and laid down in the king-sized bed. I laid on the middle of his chest, looking up at him as he stared at the ceiling.

"What's wrong?"

He looked down at me, "Nothing."

I knew him, and I could definitely tell his mood was off. "Tell me, that's what I'm here for."

He shrugged, "I don't know, Maryland just brings back so many memories. When I first came here, I was fresh meat. A New York kid in a totally different environment, and these streets ate that up. Yeah, I finished school with the push of my grandmother but I still wasn't shit in her eyes. I didn't finish college like I was suppose to, and didn't go to the NBA. She could give less than a fuck about this rapping shit. Even though I'm a millionaire, she still thinks I'm selling drugs. She likes the money though, she's always been greedy. Plus, I didn't end up with the girl she wanted me to. The pastor's daughter, Brielle."

"Oh hell no, is this gonna be a problem? I don't wanna have to kick your grandma's ass."He started laughing, but I was serious. His whole family was just going to have to jump me, but he better help me!

"I honestly don't know, my grandma can be very shady at times. She just had this big thing for Brielle though, like she wanted me with this girl so bad. She was a good girl, we actually vibed. I wasn't ready for that shit though, I was out here wilding."

"You fucked her?"

He nodded his head, "I pounded her out the first day I met her. I fucked her sister, and all the girls that was apart of the church. I almost fucked her mama, but the cleaning lady at their house interrupted. Her dad hated me, so that was pay back."
