First Season Review

An encounter with a book changed the lives of two ordinary junior high students, Yuuki Miaka and Hongou Yui. It was as though the book was hidden from the eyes of others left sleeping in the library. There it awaited the legendary Maiden. Miaka and Yui were transported to another world by a red light. Thus began the story of the "Universe of the Four Gods." 

Note: This episode is basically re-telling what has happened so far in episodes 1-27, so there is nothing new here.

Narrator: The "Universe of the Four Gods."

Narrator: It is a story of the girl who gathers the Seven Guardians...

Narrator: ...and receives the power to make wishes come true.

Miaka: I'll do it!

Miaka: I'll do it!

Miaka: I'll become the Maiden of Suzaku!

Miaka: I've been waiting for this position!

Hotohori: Give her your respect everyone!

Hotohori: She is the one who shall obtain the power of Suzaku.

Hotohori: She is our empire's protector, the Maiden of Suzaku.

Narrator: In Konan, one of the empires in the "Universe of the Four Gods..."

Narrator: ...the Emperor, Hotohori, asked Miaka to become the legendary Maiden of Suzaku.

Narrator: Miaka became the Maiden of Suzaku, but in order to call Suzaku...

Narrator: ...and make her wishes come true, she had to find Suzaku's Guardians.

Hotohori: IThe seven constellations are...

Hotohori: Chichiri,

Hotohori: Tamahome,

Hotohori: Nuriko,

Hotohori: Hotohori,

Hotohori: Chiriko,

Hotohori: Tasuki,

Hotohori: and Mitsukake.

Hotohori: These are Suzaku's seven guardians, in the Southern Hemisphere.

Narrator: The young man who saved her from a crisis was named Tamahome.

Tamahome: For one female...

Tamahome: ...four guys?!

Tamahome: What real man needs to do that?!

Narrator: He had the character of the ogre on his forehead.

Narrator: He was the first Guardian Miaka met. Their encounter was predestined.
