Miaka was once again captured by Nakago. The identity of the Lama of Daijiin had been assumed by Miboshi, Seiryuu's Guardian...who then silenced her voice. In captivity, Miaka met Tatara, Byakko's Guardian, who possesses the Maiden of Byakko's Shinzaho. Then Miaka is confronted by Yui.
