The bell rang and the break session ended. I looked away from Youngmin’s eyes to avoid him seeing me blush. I stood up and cleared my throat, “I believe Jeongmin is waiting for us.” Youngmin gave me a teasing look, “I would like to see the result.” And we walked out the cafeteria. Girls were clinging and flirting with Youngmin as he walked. So much fans, how am I supposed to compete with them to get Youngmin? Life is unfair.
As we reached the makeover class, Jeongmin was ready to transform me. Hahaha. I’m a plain girl who rarely wears makeup unless there is a special occasion so I would like to see how I would look after the makeover. He teaches the class how to apply each makeup and how it matches the clothing. After demonstrating the steps, he told everyone to wait outside as he applied a bit too much makeup on me and dyed my hair in a certain way. He told me to use the clothing he had prepared for me in the dressing room. The moment I saw it, I knew it was the one.
It was a deep-peach chequered bustier accompanied with a light denim skinny jean. I slipped on a pair of black-golden studded boot heel and it revealed a wide gap between my thighs. I released my pinned hair and let my new ombre hair fall upon my shoulders. It was a gradient of brown to blond with the edges slightly curled. I looked at my reflection and ohmygoodness, I’ve never seen this side of me. It was a thin yet extraordinary layer of makeup, Jeongmin had given me a pastel-colour eye shadow just above my thin eyeliner. A pink lipstick that matches my peach bustier and a slight blush-on applied on my cheekbones. I put on the golden studded earring and grabbed an ebony black clutch to match it on. I was ready. I opened the door slowly and all I heard was gasps.
“You look amazing YN! I knew you had it in you!” Jeongmin said as he tagged me along. “What do you think?” Jeongmin asked his juniors. All his juniors was speechless. I blushed. I scanned the crowd and spotted Youngmin with one of his hand removing his earphones. He smiled. I blushed even harder. Since I was used as an example, Jeongmin dismissed me earlier and allowed me to keep the clothing. I thanked him and as I walked out, Youngmin grabbed me by the shoulder, “What was that?” “What is what?” I fumbled with my words, getting nervous. “You look beautiful by the way. See you tomorrow.” He waved and walked away. Beautiful? Did he just say that? I touched my chest, my heart was even beating faster than ever.
I noticed that my next class would be dancing. Feeling insecure in my bustier, I overlapped it with a black tee and roamed around the corridors trying to search for the right class and I finally found it. I opened the door and I saw a fit person facing his back on me trying to fix a radio on the corner of the classroom. Since I was dismissed early, I’m guessing that only the two of us are here. I approached him to greet him but he was too busy on fixing the radio so he didn’t notice me. As I took a step closer, the figure started to seem familiar. I took another step closer and his scent was even much more familiar. Smell of fresh lavenders. Just an inch away from him, his ash-brown hair shone in the light and it strucked me. No, it can’t be him. He turned and we stared deeply into each other’s eyes. I knew his face, his lips, his eyes and his facial expression. Seeing him made me miss him more. “YN?” He asked. It was my former boyfriend (ex), No Minwoo.
