Chapter 8: “Confusion”
“Umm, what is going on?” I demanded as I looked at Kwangmin’s direction.
“Tell me, I’m supposed to be playing a drama instead of seeing a doppelganger!” I shifted towards Youngmin and threw my arms in the air.
Youngmin brisk-walked and grabbed my wrist, “You young lady, are coming with me.”
“And we’re gonna talk for a very long time, indeed.” He said under his breath.
He dragged me to an empty corridor and released his firm grip. “Hey, what the heck was that?” I blurted out in anger. “You don’t realize don’t you?” He sighed.
“Of course, how can I understand a thing, when suddenly, you came, dragging me here!” I almost screamed. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer. He looked at me in the eye and said, “Calm down YN, I know you’re confused.” He then embraced me into a hug. We stood still until the thought struck me. I struggle free from his embrace and grabbed his arm, “Twins? You’re twins?”
“Yeah, I thought you knew.” Youngmin assured me.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked quietly.
“I thought you should have known how to differentiate me and Kwangmin.”
“No wonder there was 2 similar rooms in your house.” I shook my head.
“I should have told you.”
“I should have let you.” I let out a light laugh.
He put his hand on my shoulder, “YN, you’re mines and I’m not gonna let anyone steal your first kiss.”
“Your twin just did.” I grinned.
“You were mistaken.” He playfully teased me.
“Anyways, go back to your class, I’ll see you at break.” He kissed my forehead and left.
I went back to the acting class to apologize what just happened but instead they were complementing me.
Judge 1: “That was so tragic and romantic.”
Judge 2: “Two guys fighting over one girl, beautiful plot.”
Judge 3: “I’m tearing up, that’s just too sad.” *brings out handkerchief*
“They gave us a perfect score. They said it was a good plot although it happened unexpectedly.” Kwangmin said avoiding my gaze.
“Good then, and can I talk to you for a moment?” I asked.
The bell rang as he was about to say something. “Later.” Kwangmin replied as he reached for the door. I could sense hurt in his voice, and he was ignoring me. I tried to catch up with him, but he was already swarmed with a group of fangirls. I’ll talk to him later, maybe?
It was break so I headed towards the canteen for snacks. I had no appetite so I decided to just sit down and listen to music. A tray of food was placed right in front of me and I looked up. Surprised, it was Youngmin.
“Youngmin?” I asked as I plugged out my earphone.
“I told you I would meet you during break.” He reminded.
“Yeah.” I nodded.
“By the way, you coming to Madison’s birthday party?” he asked as he shoved out an invitation.
“Everyone’s invited.” He continued.
“When?” I ventured.
“This Friday, 6pm in her house.”
