*YN’s POV*

I…

I don’t know.

I really don’t know what was happening.

I really hoped those were just disturbing dreams— instead, it was a nightmare yet to come true.

For three constant days, Youngmin’s messages or miscalls did not appear on the white screen, which ultimately crushed me.

The scene kept on replaying in my mind, making bitter thoughts emerged from my mind. I hated him for treating me this way. I just felt...

so lonely.

Perhaps, did his feelings for me disappear?

Just abruptly, my phone rang breaking the silence. My eyes widened with anxiety hoping that it would be Youngmin. I turned to find it in the darkness, and I saw a glint of light under the covers. I grabbed it and looked at the white screen,

Caller ID:

Jo Youngmin

Somewhere between the sorrows in my heart; I squealed quietly. But why was he calling me now? Not yesterday or the day before? Is he breaking me up over the phone?

I answered the call with an unsteady breath, I did not say a word, I was too afraid to face what was going to happen.

“Hello?” A voice in the other line asked, bewildered. “YN?”

That was totally his voice.

“Youngmin…” I breathed slowly, preventing the tears from falling.

“I’m so sorry for not calling you these past 3 days, I was so busy preparing a song with Leila Lhyn that I can’t seem to reach you.” He explained.

That name, Leila Lhyn. I just wanted to punch her directly on the face. Thousands of questions were swarming my mind,

“What song were you preparing?”

“Why did you bail me out last Friday?”

“Why didn’t you at least call me?”

But I didn’t ask anything. As long as Youngmin was back, I could only heave a sigh of relief. “That’s good.”

“Hey, is something wrong?” He asked.

Of course something is fucking wrong Jo Youngmin. You ignored me for the past few days and how could you forget tomorrow is our five months anniversary?

“Our anniversary… tomorrow…” I clarified. “You didn’t forget didn’t you?”

He managed to keep up quickly, “Huh? Oh right, our anniversary! No, of course I didn’t forget!”

“So what will we do tomorro—”

Youngmin interrupted, “Sorry YN! I gotta go now! See you tomorrow.” And the call was ended.

Obviously, I was hurt but I pressed the phone against my chest, at least I got to hear his voice.

I was usually late to school, but my spirits lightened up today. I skipped like a radiant child down the hallways, humming along the rhythm in my head. My five months anniversary with Jo Youngmin! What more could I ask for?
