That Bakudan detonator is set to go off in two more turns but with Yugi gone from this world I can't stop Pegasus from reading my mind! "Yugi is still with you" someone said, it was Yugi's Grandfather! "Believe me his heart is still in this" he told me "but how can that be? I thought he was-" "you thought only what your eyes showed you. The unmistakable devotion of Yugi's friends keeps him alive" he said before disappearing, his friends of course! They haven't given up on him! "Here's my move!" I said before drawing a card but Pegasus couldn't see my cards because Yugi and his friends were protecting my mind "thank you, together we can stand strong against him" I said to their spirits "thanks to Yugi's friends I can save my Magician from your detonator go Mystic box!" I said the box changed the places of Bakudan and my Dark Magician who was now back on my side of the field, Pegasus passed his turn so it was my turn again. I drew another card from my deck "go Brain control, how does it feel to have the powers of mind control turned against you?" I asked as Brain control dragged Relinquished to my side of the field. Pegasus began laughing "the detonator will destroy your Magician ending the game!" He laughed "you're wrong Pegasus, remember I still have one more card out, the last card Yugi played and now it's time to see what it is!" I exclaimed as I flipped the card.

"Dark Magic Ritual. I have to make two sacrifices, I choose my Dark Magician and your Jigen Bakudan and as the offering has been accepted in their place comes the Magician of Black Chaos! With his last courageous act Yugi set the stage for the most powerful Magician in all of Duel Monsters and with the Magician of Black Chaos I will avenge my fallen friend. Now to complete my strategy I place one face down card and a Monster in defense mode" I said and Pegasus was free to make his move. "Now Relinquished is back with daddy and even with your two face down cards he's still as effective as ever. If you think you've got Relinquished all figured out then you're wrong because I'm using my Polymerization card and my thousand eyes idol now prepare yourself for the ultimate merged Monster. I've created the one, the only thousand eyes restrict! Just wait until he opens his eyes" Pegasus told me. I may not know what he's planning with that Monstrosity of his but I can't let it happen. Yugi sacrificed himself to give me a chance I won't let it go to waste "Pegasus you can do your worst but this duel will be won by the last card Yugi placed on the field! Chaos Mage prepare yourself" I warned my Monster as all thousand eyes had opened.

"There's nothing you can do to hold this attack off for now I unleash the thousand eyes spell! Your Chaos mage is paralyzed by the eyes of my ultimate beast! Accept it it's all over!" Pegasus laughed before he went to absorb my mage, just the play I was waiting for! I summoned Kuriboh on the field and activated the spell card Multiply, one Kuriboh is becoming many. "It's too late for your thousand eyes restrict to cancel its attack therefore it has no choice but to absorb all the Kuriboh if it can that is" I chuckled. Sure enough the Kuriboh covered the Thousand eyes restrict and then attacked by self destructing destroying the monster's eyes and allowing my Chaos mage to move again. "My Chaos mage is freed and you Pegasus are through. Attack Magician with Chaos Sceptre Blast!" I exclaimed and his Monster was destroyed along with his Life Points and Yugi, he came back and switched places with me, I'm happy to know that he's alright and that Pegasus has been defeated because of his brave and courageous actions. Well done Yugi.

Yugi's P.O.V.

"Pegasus, you're finished. We've won" I told him "spirit of the puzzle, I don't know how to thank you" I said honestly. "It was your courage and the love your friends had for you that prevailed this day" he replied "and your determination. We all did it together!" I told him "as friends" he said "and in the end that's what it came down to. Friends being there for one another" I said "YUGI!" My friends shouted, I turned around and there they were. "Yugi! You did it! You really finally did it!"Joey exclaimed happily before Téa pushed him out the way "what Joey is trying to say that you, your Grandpa and Y/N are going to be reunited" Téa smiled "yeah but also Yuge-" Joey said but was cut off by Tristan "but also we wanted to say how impressed we are with you being so brave and all" Tristan told me "yeah and we're proud of you too" Téa added "agh you guys said everything I was gonna say!" Joey huffed "if you're done with the cringey friendship speeches then we go after that slimeball seeing as none of you have realised he's ran away" Kaiba said as he joined us, I looked at the other side of the playing and he was right! Pegasus was gone! "What about Mokuba and Bakura?" Téa asked "hey up here!" Bakura called down according to Tristan Bakura's Millennium ring was making him act strange again but Tristan got rid of it and Bakura said he'd stay here with Mokuba so we ran out and tried to find Pegasus so he could return the souls of my Grandpa, Y/N and Mokuba he won't get away with this!
