With school finished for the day, it was time for Yugi to get grandpa from the hospital. We packed our stuff as the bell rang and walked out of the gates. "Bet you're excited to see gramps again right Yuge?" Joey asked as we all walked down the street. "Yeah, you bet! I can't wait to get him home" Yugi smiled "gramps?" Dark Magician girl asked with a confused expression. "Yugi's grandpa, Pegasus stole his soul with his Millennium eye. He's been in the hospital ever since" I explained, she and her teacher replied with an understanding nod. Dark Magician wasn't as talkative as his student was, he's a lot more serious as well but I didn't expect anything else. We walked into the hospital and grandpa was already good to go! "Grandpa!" the two Muto's exchanged a hug before we made our way to Kame game and that's when a new kind of trouble started to brew. "Hey! I've got something to say to you! That is if you are who I think you are!" A small blonde girl was standing outside of Kame game, she had a trolley with a ton of luggage and was also holding a cuddly brown bear plushie. "Do you know this child Y/N?" D.M asked to which I shook my head "I've never seen here before, do any of you guys know her?" To which, they all responded no so who was this mystery kid and why was she waiting for us outside of the game shop? She dragged her luggage over as she got closer before pointing at grandpa. "Tell me, is your name Solomon Muto?" She questioned with an annoyed expression, what is her problem? "That's right and who might you be?" Gramps asked "who might I be? I might be Rebecca and I might've just arrived here in town and I might've been waiting for you to show up! It's not nice to keep a lady waiting you know!?" It turned out that Rebecca was an eight-year-old national champion who talked to her teddy bear and also accused grandpa of stealing the fourth blue eyes card from her. Naturally, this was going to be settled in a duel, if Rebecca won she'd get the now useless blue eyes card.
After arriving at Kaiba world for the duel, we bumped into Mokuba who helped us get a free duelling arena. Afterall, Yugi did save his soul "well? What are we all waiting for? Let's get this duel on the road!" Rebecca cheered, leaving Mokuba as confused as ever. As everyone else was practically dragged away, I let out a heavy sigh. "What a rude child" D.M muttered "I know...I thought Kaiba was bad..." D.M.G added and I totally agreed. "Hey Y/N? Who was that girl?" Mokuba asked "a headache if you ask me" I replied jokingly, "she said her name was Rebecca. I've gotta go but I'll see you around ok Mokie?" "Yeah alright see ya later" he smiled before I joined the others, I was surprised to see Yugi in the ring instead of grandpa but then again he has just got out of the hospital. A duel is really the last thing he needs right now. Rebecca started off with Black with of the dark forest, a weak monster card. Yugi summoned Celtic guardian and destroyed the witch with one clean slice, for a genius Rebecca isn't exactly off to a good start. Destroying Black witch activated her effect, Rebecca could draw any monster from her deck as long as it had 1500 defence points or less. After that, she reshuffled her deck and summoned Sangan, another weak monster that Celtic guardian destroyed easily. "Look teddy! He sent our poor Sangan to the graveyard too! He's so mean!" Rebecca whined, "I'm not being mean I'm just playing the game!" Yugi complained, "did you hear that teddy? Nasty old Yugi is yelling at me!" "I'm not yelling!" She then used a trap card, tribute to the doomed. After discarding a monster from her hand to the graveyard, she could destroy one of Yugi's monsters. Of course, he only had Celtic guardian on the field right now so he was the one to bite the dust. She then summoned a monster face-down, ending her turn. "This brat's no genius! She's just a nutcase!" Joey said and I'd have to agree with him, I know she's a kid and all but bringing a stuffed toy to a duel and talking to it like it's a real person? I thought she was eight years old not eight months old geez.
"I attack with Summoned Skull!" The monster appeared on the field and attacked her face down monster but...It didn't get destroyed? Instead, Yugi lost 500 life points and the monster was revealed to be the Millenium shield. It had no attack points but a defence of 3000 making it almost impossible to destroy if it was in defence mode. "I play a magic card ring of magnetism!" The magic card applied itself to the shield "that's a weird move" I muttered quietly "huh? What are you talking about Y/N?" Tristen asked "the ring of magnitude lowers defence points by 500, it's equal to the Summoned Skull now," I told him causing everyone else to be as confused as I am. Yugi passed his turn which allowed Rebecca to summon another monster Cannon soldier, again nothing strong or special Yugi could easily destroy it on his turn. What is she playing at? "It looks like your friend is about to be in a pickle" D.M.G laughed nervously "what do you mean by that?" "Well you see, the ring of magnetism doesn't just weaken defence points, it acts as a magnet for attacks hence the name. Any attack Yugi makes will go for the shield instead right sensei?" D.M.G asked to which he nodded. "Indeed, it's quite a troublesome card especially if it's attached to something that powerful" I looked over to Yugi with a worried expression if he's not careful he's going to lose this match! Yugi attacked Cannon soldier and just like D.M.G said, the attack was pulled towards the Millenium shield leaving the Cannon soldier completely unscathed!
Rebecca laughed with a smirk. "The ring of magnetism draws all your attacks to my shield! Get it? Whilst the ring of magnetism is in play, all my monsters are safe!" She grinned before summoning another Black witch, Rebecca sacrificed it allowing her to activate Cannon Soldier's effect. It attacked, ignoring Summoned skull and attacked Yugi directly dealing 400 points of damage before drawing another card. "I was trained by someone more talented than a Muto could ever be. My grandpa was the best Duelist ever!" Rebecca declared, causing a light bulb to go off in Yugi's Grandpa's head. "Rebecca, what's your last name?" He asked curiously "took you long enough to ask! Hawkings, Rebecca hawkings and Professor Arthur Hawkings is my grandfather! The man who's Blue eyes White Dragon you stole and friendship you betrayed!" She again accused with absolutely no evidence. "You're wrong Rebecca!" Yugi argued, "my grandpa would never betray a friend!" "That's what you think! Your grandfather's a thief and he stole my grandfather's Blue eyes White Dragon and now you're gonna pay!"
