Time For a New Tournament!

A lot had happened in the past week. Yugi battled against a guy called Duke Devlin who had created a game called Dungeon Dice Monsters, he also had his own game store called Black Clown which Yugi's grandpa wasn't too happy about. Then there was the duel Yugi had the other day, revealing a new enemy who could control people's minds. His goal was similar to Pegasus' goals, he wanted the Millennium items making Yugi a walking target. Something tells me our next adventure is going to be more dangerous than Duelist Kingdom ever was. "Hm? Is something wrong Y/N?" Dark Magician Girl asked as we walked home. "Yes you seem troubled. Tell us what's on your mind?" Dark Magician requested, I nodded with a sigh. "I'm just worried about Yugi. He could have died in that fire because of whoever had control of Keith, that's not someone we should take lightly especially if he's after the Millennium items. That probably means he's got one himself." The two Magicians nodded, understanding my worry. "It is a troublesome situation, one I fear will only become more dangerous before it gets better I'm afraid. However it's important to remember no matter how bad the storm is, the sun will surely shine again" I smiled at Dark Magician's words "yeah you're right. It just means we'll have to be more careful and duel with everything we've got!" "That's the spirit! We'll show that mind controlling weirdness what's up!" Dark Magician Girl grinned.

I was about to cross the street to get to my apartment before a black limo stopped in front of me, the window rolled down and revealed Seto sitting inside. "Hey Seto! What's up?" "I'm heading to the museum for a private tour. Wanna come with?" He asked stoically as always. "Yeah I don't see why not, I've got nothing else to do and it sounds fun!" He opened the door so I got in and took a seat. When the door closed, the car took off again to the museum. "I didn't think you'd be one to hang out at a museum so...What's the real reason you're going there?" "You don't miss a thing do you? The woman holding the Egyptian exhibition said that going there would be worth my while, a card more powerful than Exodia. I'm only going to see what kind of card she's talking about " he explained to me as we stopped outside the museum. "Keep the engine running, we won't be long" Seto told his driver as we got out and headed inside. There was a woman waiting inside, two security guards at her side. "Thank you for coming Seto Kaiba, I see you've brought Miss Y/N L/N with you as well just as I had foreseen. This is a private exhibition because it makes business so much easier." Two more guards appeared, informing us that the building was now on lockdown, nobody was allowed in or out. This felt like a hostage situation if you're asking me...

Ishizu Ishtar, as I learned from her, took us down into the basement as she explained the Egyptian's beliefs of fate and destiny but Seto was sceptical about all of this and frankly so was I. A card more powerful than Exodia? It seems extremely unlikely but I guess we'll find out eventually and her forseeing the future? I don't know what's harder to believe honestly but what interested me was her necklace, the eye shape looked similar to the one on Yugi's puzzle. "That Kaiba guy is right! You don't miss a thing Y/N. That necklace of hers is the Millennium necklace. It allows the wearer to see into the past and near future but the futures can be changed by the influence of another Millennium item, it also protects the wear from other items' shadow magic" D.M.G explained to me as we walked into a room. There were two huge ancient stone tablets behind glass. One was damaged, huge chunks missing from the bottom and the left side. The other was in much better condition, still old and the carvings had similarities but they looked familiar... "It can't be! These carvings look like Duel monster cards!" "Yeah you're right...But that means your story's true!"

She confirmed her previous statement and told us that some researchers thought these carvings to resemble real monsters from ancient Egypt and that they were used to play a more dangerous version of Duel Monsters. Ishizu walked to the other tablet before looking back to Seto and I. "This is the one you must see, it is the very reason I called you here tonight." It barely took a glance for us to be surprised. One of the people carved into the stone looked like Yugi and above him was a monster that looked like the Dark Magician! Opposite was someone who looked like Seto, above him was a monster that looked like the Blue eyes White Dragon! We were both stunned by this but...What did it mean? How were we related to ancient Egypt?

Ishizu then used her necklace to show us the past. We were in ancient Egypt, below us was a large room. Someone, who looked identical to Seto, stepped forward. "I hereby declare a challenge to the Pharoh!" A duel did start but it happened between one of the Pharoh's servant, Ishizu showed us three visions. It ended with the challenger winning with a Blue Eyes White Dragon. It really couldn't be a coincidence. "Now are you convinced? History is destined to repeat itself, it's no coincidence that Yugi Muto is your greatest opponent Kaiba. You two have battled in the ancient past and it is destined that you will battle again." Seto scoffed and stood up, grabbing his case. "Thanks for the lecture but I make my own destiny and I do what I want, why follow someone else's rules when you have money?" He scowled before he started walking away, I followed after him quietly as I tried to process what the hell just happened. Ishizu then started talking about the monsters stronger than Exodius, the Egyptian God cards. Obelisk the Tormentor, The Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer the Sky Dragon. She gave Obelisk to Seto, telling us the other two were in the hands of rare card collectors called Rare Hunters, this gave Seto an idea. "I see. A tournament that will make Duelist Kingdom look like a joke, it's the perfect trap for those hunters, they'll come like vultures to a carcass" he chuckled, we left after Seto received Obelisk's card. We got back into the car and left. "A new tournament so soon huh? This could be exciting, I might have to give my deck a few changes" I laughed quietly. "If you ask me, you should completely change it. Copying Yugi's deck is a bit childish don't you think? This tournament...Only the elite will be allowed to participate, that way I can assure the Rare Hunters taking part. Not only will I have the strongest cards by the end of it but I'll also have my title restored" Seto explained as we drove past my apartment. "Uh Seto-" "I need someone to hear my brainstorming so you'll be staying with me tonight. If that's ok with you of course" I nodded with a smile as we head to his place. A new tournament, sounds fun and maybe I'll get to duel more than last time. This is gonna be awesome!
