"Yo, man. I can't allow myself to keep lying to my girl. You're gonna have to tell Zaria somehow."

"If I tell Zaria, I lose everything." Drake desperately tried to explain. He knew that some mistakes were free and that others would cost him, but this one was simply a mistake he couldn't really afford. Fumbling with the bands on his wrist, he searched for words to say although he had been out of them for quite some time now. "I don't think I can bear losing her."

"Well, I hate to break it to ya but you're going to lose this battle regardless, my nigga. Either way, it's a guaranteed L. But if it's meant to be, it will be, man."

"Thanks, man. Consoling words."

Abel chuckled at Drake's remark before taking the bottle of patron off of the coffee table. "Look, man. I've been in really fucked up places with my girl in the past. And I'm talking about more than just a few occasions. We went through it countless amount of times, but I still didn't give up on us. I'm not going to steer you in the wrong way though, I mean, we're brothers so I'd never do that to you... When you tell her, you need to give her some space, bro. Matter of fact, you have to give her some space. So that you can learn from your mistakes and learn to love her again.

"It's something about apologies after fucking up that pisses women off. They feel it's way more important for your actions to speak louder. So you need to show her, bro. You gone have to put in that work. I'm talking after hours. Over time, my nigga. You better slave for your bitch. But only after giving yourself and herself time to dwell on the situation. The key is... Don't reflect on being away from her too much. Make it a healthy distance and you'll begin to grow in ways you'd never imagine you could. It's nothing more positive than making time to work on yourself and deciding to improve weak areas. Everybody wants improvement but improvement is something you have to choose, man. I believe it'll all work out for you, brother. I promise. Keep the faith."

Drake nodded at the words of wisdom he didn't expect to come from Abel Tesfaye, out of all people. The advice his friend gave him was everything he needed to hear despite the fact that he may have not necessarily wanted to hear it. "Yeah, you're right."

"I'd be damned if I wasn't."
