25: uncomfortable date

it was the next day already. school just ended.

" haeun! let's go walking together in the park. " jinyoung says from behind me.

my brain kept on screaming 'abort, abort!' but my body chose to disobey.

" alright...? " i say. i immediately wanted to smash my face into my locker as soon as i realized what i had said.

we walked together for awhile.

" i'm sorry about the kiss thing... i got carried away. " he says.

" it's alright. "

" can you tell me where you got those bruises on your face from? " he asks.

" um... well there was a transfer student before you and she had a crush on my boyfriend. as soon as she found out that we were dating, she started to get involved. she smashed my fingers into my locker... she pulled my hair and threw me onto the ground... she started to mess with my friends by spilling things on them or tripping them. just a few days ago.. i was on the rooftop. she pushed me and i almost fell off of it if it weren't for jihoon. she then pushed me onto the concrete, wishing for my death, and began beating the life out of me. she was later expelled and you have replaced her. " i say.

" ouch... that must've been stressful. " he says, touching the bruise on my cheek.

" it was! ugh she was terrible. " i say, making him laugh.

" i didn't know you liked dancing that much. " he says, referring to the performance he saw yesterday.

" haha... i've liked it for awhile now... i kept it hidden until i started dancing on that stage. everyone found it super entertaining so i do it almost everyday now. " i say, smiling.

" no need to be scared of me, by the way. i've changed my ways so don't worry. " he says, putting his arm around me.

" it's nice talking with you... it's surprisingly comfortable. " i say, scratching my neck.

" that daehwi guy looks fun... i wanna become friends with him. " he mentions randomly.

" i feel the bromance already... he technically said the same thing you just said yesterday. " i say, chuckling.

" really? that's so cool! " he says.

i then snap back into my senses and shake his arm off of my shoulders.

" i'm going home now... thanks for the walk! " i say, running to justin's house.

once i got to the house, i found justin sitting on the couch playing on his phone.

" oh hey, haeun! where were you? daehwi was freaking out because he couldn't find you. i lied and told him that you went to the grocery store. " he says, getting up.

" um... just... went on a walk. " i say, rubbing my arms.

" what? but you hate walking for so long unless you have someone to talk to. did you walk with someone? " he asks. dang, i forgot that he knows me better than my own parents.

" um... yeah. "

" who was it? "

" uhh.. bae jinyoung. " i say really quietly.

" wait a second... why him? " he says.

" umm because he asked me to go on a walk with him. " i say, scratching my neck.

" ugh.... i can't trust you on your own, can i? " he says, shaking his head.

i smile and skip to our room.

as i was finishing up my homework, my phone vibrated.
