"When we go back out there, remember to say hello, but in an English accent." Romeo reminded me as he paid for our food bill. We were currently at a small restaurant, and people were lined up outside of the restaurant, waiting for us.
"I don't think I can do it." I said, nervous. I was trying to keep my voice down in case anyone around us recognized us, well recognized Brooklyn and who they thought was Lili Fulton. "I'm a phony." I sighed.
"Hey," Brooklyn put his hand on my elbow. "Only your sister and I know that."
"Wow, that makes me feel so much better." I rolled my eyes.
"I'll coach you step by step, along the whole way i'll be here for you." He smiled.
I couldn't hold in my laughter, and Brooklyn looked extremely confused. "I'm sorry, just your accent combined with the phrase 'step by step' sounds hilarious!" I continued to laugh.
"You are so immature," Brooklyn laughed with me. "Your laugh is much nicer to hear than Lili's."
"I am Lili, what do you mean?" I joked.
"Not with that American accent." Brooklyn grinned.
"My bad," I corrected myself. "I am Lili, what do you mean?" I repeated in an awful English accent.
"Better, we still need to work on it a little bit, but you're getting there." He said as we both stood up from the two-person table we were just seated at. "Just one word, that's all you have to say, can you handle it?"
"I hope." I told him, unsure as he opened the door and we stepped out, people started yelling and we were blinded by bright flashes.
"LILI, BROOKLYN!" I heard a girl yell to the left of us, louder than the other people who were yelling stuff at us.
Brooklyn linked my hand with his and squeezed mine, getting my attention so he could nod at me, signaling that it was go time. I took a deep breath and turned to the crowd. "Hello!" I waved with my left hand.
"Was that so hard?" Brooklyn whispered to me.
"Yes, actually." I pulled my hand away from his and continued to smile at the crowd of screaming people.
