"I'm sorry, I hate to sound rude, but do I know you?" I asked the lady.
"Um, no, you don't." The lady took a step back. "I thought you were someone else, my bad."
"But you knew my name." I responded. "I feel like I recognize you."
"I get that a lot, but no I don't know your name, i'm sorry to interrupt." The lady started to turn. "Have a great night."
"Wait!" I called after the lady. "I do know you, I could never forget that face."
"Elena, don't." The lady said, using my name again.
"Is it really you?" I asked, my heart racing.
"Elena."
"Will you come into my penthouse, please?" I asked as I opened the door.
"I can't stay for long." She said, she hesitated walking through the door, but she did anyways.
"Elena, who is this?" Violet asked as she helped me set down the food. Her hair was up in a towel, she had a fluffy white robe on and a green face mask.
"Violet, this is Elia, my mom." I looked back at Elia, she looked nervous and worried.
"Elena, are you sure that you want to do this?" Violet asked she grabbed my hand. "Did you invite her here? I thought you had no way to contact her."
"I didn't invite her here, she found me, in the hallway." I explained.
"How do we know it's her?" Violet asked, skeptical.
"She knew my name." I told Violet.
"Maybe it was a coincidence." Violet shook her head. "We need to ask her a question. Like, where is Elena's birthmark? What's her full middle name? What street did she live on as a child? When was she adopted? What time was she born?"
"Violet!" My eyes were wide at how many questions she had asked.
"No, it's okay." Elia smiled. "Her birthmark is right below her belly button. Her full middle name is Katherine-Anne. She grew up on Files street. She was adopted when she was five and a half by your parents, Violet, yes I remember you. And she was born at nine thirty-six in the morning."
"Elia." Violet's eyes were wide.
"I did not mean to find you." Elia spoke in a hushed tone. "May I have a seat?"
"Of course." I smiled.
"I can explain everything." Elia crossed her legs.
"First I want to hear who Lili is, and why she is your mom too. At first I thought us looking so much alike was a coincidence, but now i'm not so sure."
