(Brooklyn's POV):
I had just sat down at a booth at a nearby bar and grill. Elena was on her way to meet me here so that we could talk about Lili's unexpected interview earlier.
When Elena finally arrived, she was wearing a flannel, blue jeans and a pair of black boots. "Hey." She said as she smiled and slid into the opposite side of the booth. "Sorry i'm late, Violet wanted to argue with me again."
"What about this time?" I asked her as she flipped her plain black hair over her shoulder.
"The usual, just random stuff I don't care about." She shrugged.
"Well we might as well get this over with as soon as possible." I shrugged. "I saw Lili's unexpected interview."
"I'm so sorry, I don't know why she did that." Elena frowned.
"Don't be sorry, it's okay. Not your fault." I told her. "But I think I have an idea on how we can get back at Lili."
"I'm all ears." She sipped the water the waiter brought us. "I'm willing to do anything to clear this up."
"Yeah," I hesitated. "I am too." I continued.
"But what are we going to do?" She asked me.
"Well I was thinking we could give Lili a taste of karma."
"And how would we do that?" Elena asked.
"You pretend to be Lili." I smiled. "No one will ever know the difference."
Elena acted like she was thinking about it. "Do you think people will believe me though?"
"How could they not?" I asked her. "You're identical twins, you look exactly the same! I can't even really tell you apart!"
"Good, then i'm willing to do it." She smiled.
"Oh, and i'm sorry for not texting you back sooner earlier." I apologized. "I lost my phone in my penthouse, but I found it later, a lot later I guess." I shrugged.
"It's okay, I wasn't worried about it or anything." She shrugged. We both did a nervous laugh and checked our phones, not sure what to do. "I have had something i've wanted to talk to you about recently."
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Well I don't really know how to put it, it's awkward." She frowned.
"Just spit it out." I laughed.
"Okay, well I don't know if you feel the same way, but I feel like we really have connection." She said, biting her lip. "I'm sorry, I know it's random and weird."
"No, it's not at all!" I tried to make her not feel bad. She just smiled in response. "I feel like we do too."
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah, I really like you. You're the complete opposite of Lili." I smiled. "And you're really cool and nice."
"So are you!" She smiled back.
"But you have to go back to New Mexico." I frowned.
"But what if I don't?" She asked me.
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"Well what if I lived with Lili and our mom? Wouldn't that work?" She asked me.
"Oh, yeah. I guess that would work." I smiled.
"I know it might be a little weird because you were just dating my twin but."
"No, I think it will be fine. I mean I guess I could get used to it." I shrugged, feeling awkward.
"I'm sorry this whole conversation is really weird." She frowned.
"Yeah, it really is." I laughed, Elena laughing too as she grabbed my hand.
