"But I like the red one!" Violet argued.
"I told you I like the gray one!" I argued back.
"I hate to interrupt, but-" Brooklyn started.
"Then don't." Violet interrupted him. Brooklyn nodded and sat back down on the couch, continuing to watch Violet and I bicker. "I think you look better in the red one."
"I don't care what you think, this one is more me!"
"Well you're not you, you're Lili!" Violet pointed in my face.
Violet and I both turned, looking to see what Brooklyn would say about Lili. "Oh! You're letting me speak now?" Brooklyn smirked. "Lili would wear both, the choice is yours."
"Okay are you ever any help because I feel like the answer is no." Violet gave Brooklyn a dirty look.
Brooklyn's phone started to buzz and he pulled it out, a shocked expression plastered on his face. "I've got to take this." Brooklyn stood up, straightened his shirt and started to walk towards the door. Before exiting the penthouse Brooklyn turned, "I'm sure you will look beautiful in whatever dress you choose."
"But I think you would look more beautiful in the red one." Violet said in my ear after Brooklyn left. "But that boy is shady, there's something weird about him that I don't like."
I gave Violet a dirty look. "You don't have to like him, you just have to deal with him for eight more days." Violet sighed. "You can handle it." I patted her on the back.
"I think we should eavesdrop on his conversation." Violet said as I hung the red and gray dress on the rack.
"I think we should give him his privacy, it's probably his mom or something about soccer." I shrugged.
"You are telling me you aren't curious at all about what he had to run off and take a call about?"
"He's famous, Violet, i'm sure he has to take calls all the time, would you stop tripping over every little thing?"
"You cannot tell me you are not the tiniest bit curious about what he is saying, he has been out there for a while."
"Enough, Violet!" I said, finally fed up with her. "If he wants us to know what he was talking about, then he will tell us. Stop getting in other people's business."
Violet opened her mouth like she was going to respond, but quickly closed it after.
"Guys!" Brooklyn rushed back into the penthouse, his face was white and flushed, almost making him look sick to his stomach.
"We're girls but go on." Violet blew on the nail that she had just painted purple, not paying any attention to the sick-looking Brooklyn.
"Sorry," Brooklyn added. "But we have a major problem."
I stood up, thinking the worst. And when Brooklyn opened his mouth again, I realized it was the worst.
"Lili found out, she's coming!"
