"Okay that girl is crazy!" Violet said as she sat across from me in the booth.

"I know, but she is my twin sister, so I still have to be nice and supportive!"

"But she is nuts, Lena!" Violet said as she sipped her Sprite.

"But like I said, I can't just abandon her because she's a little kooky!" I said as I pulled my drink closer to me.

"Why would she say that about you and Brooklyn?" Violet asked. "That just puts you and him in a very uncomfortable situation. And that's beside the fact that it is an absolute lie!"

"Well there are a few reasons I thought of that she would possibly want to spread that rumor." I said, gaining Violet's attention. "One could be that she doesn't want to have to pretend to date Brooklyn anymore so she just put all of it on me."

"That makes sense."

"Another though is the fact that she is hoping I will actually date Brooklyn, causing me to want to move in with them in England."

"Both sounds like good reasons, but I think the second one is more of what she is aiming for."

"I agree." I sighed.

"She really is crazy."

"You already said that!" I laughed. "But hey, that's my twin sister you're talking about!"

"Oh knock it off." Violet shoved me lightly. "Have you talked to Brooklyn yet?"

"Not yet, but i'm not very eager to, either." I frowned. "I feel like it's now going to super awkward between us, which isn't a walk in the park if you ask me."

"You should text him." Violet suggested.

"He already texted me."

"No way!" Violet's draw dropped. "And he said what?"

"He said, 'Just saw Lili's interview, can we meet up and talk?'"

"And you said, what?" Violet asked.

"I ignored him, what are you even suppose to say to a text like that?"

"You say, 'sure, where?' So that you guys can come up with a solution!" Violet told me.

"I need to talk to Lili more, try to get her to tell the press that she was actually joking!"

"No you don't," Violet shook her head. "You need to go public and say that she is a liar."

"That will completely ruin things between us, and probably between Elia and I, too."

"Do you want to have to pretend to date Brooklyn or not?" Violet asked me.

The waitress came and set our food down in front of us, Violet and I both thanked her. "Well, I don't know." I said, continuing our conversation from earlier. "Would it honestly be that bad? We can just stage a breakup when we go back to New Mexico."
