CAUTION: EXTREMELY UPSETTING CHAPTER

KATNISS POV:

"Do you want the good news or the bad news first?"

"Good" We all say in unison

"FInnick survived!" Annie fistpumps and we turn our heads at her "But..." HE begins

"But? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BUT?" Annie bursts out

"But" The doctor continues "He has serious brain damage and doesnt remember much well he remembers some things but they are all jumbled up and he doesnt really know who he is"

"So he doesnt remember anything?" I ask

"No he does but he only remembers very little, Im so sorry" He shakes his head before leading us to Finnick's room

"Doctor?" he nods "What did happen to him?"

"I don't know the School are looking at the security footage but we havn't heared anything yet"

"Okay" I Whisper. So much has happened today. I still haven't told Peeta about earlier with the Principle. Honestly I'm scared to say about it I don't know why. I mean I will have to tell him at some point. I don't like keeping things from him. We arrive in Finnicks room and he looks up at us confused. Annie runs up to him and tries to hug him but he swats her off

"DONT HURT ME" he screams backing away. He is now sitting on the other end of his bed furthest away from Annie.

"Finnick baby, Its me I'm not gonna hurt you" she pleads

"I -I BAby? Are you my mum?" She looks at him shocked and shakes her head "Then who are you?" 

"Annie your girlfriend"

"I dont have a girlfriend" He barks at her. Her eyes are full of tears and she runs out and I follow her shouting her name until we reach outside the hospital where she  sits on a bench. I place myself next to her and put my arm on her back comforting her. I dont exactly know what to say so I just sit here rubbing her back while she cries

PEETA'S POV:

I walk closer to Finnicks bed

"Hey buddy" I say casually

"Who are you?"

"Peeta" I say simply he just looks at me 

"peeta" He repeats "Hmmm" Thats all he gets to say before his family burst in the door and engulf him in a hug "GET OFF OF ME!" He shouts and they all take a step back 

"Finn?" His mum asks 

"Oh so now im called Finn?"

"No no thats your nickname" She corrects him

"Oh" He nods

KATNISS POV:

"I LOVE HIM AND HE-HE FORGOT ME! HE OBVIOUSLY D-D-DIDNT LOV-VE  ME AND IT WA-S-S A-A-A-L A LIE I HATE HIM! I CAN'T BELEIVE I EVER LOVED HIM!" She spills

"Annie you don't mean that!"

"YES IS DO!" She screams with her red and puffy eyes boring into my soul

"Annie think of what has happened its not his fault"

"OH YOUR GONNA STICK UP FOR HIM NOW ARE YOU? WELL IM DONE IM SO DONE YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE MY BESTFRIEND AND YOUR STICKING UP FOR HIM"

"ANNIE HE IS IN HOSPI-"

"I DONT CARE! HE SHOULD'T HAVE FORGOTTEN ME!"

"ANNIE HE CAN'T HELP IT THINK OF WHAT HE IS GOING THROUGH!" were both full on shouting now

"THINK OF WHAT IM GOING THROUGH!"

"WHAT CAN YOU BE GOING THROUGH COMPARED TO HIM!"

"People always say that" She calms her voice "Yes I know people have bigger problems than me they always do! When im down my mum use to say 'Theres kids with much bigger problems than you' but just because thier problems are worse doesnt mean that im hurt free! Because if you were a true friend you would have noticed before" She pulls up her sleeve and reaveals scars.  She self harms

"Annie im so sorr-"

"Save it" she puts her hand up "Good bye Katniss It was nice knowing you" Then she walks away. I sit on the bench feeling numb. Tears are falling down my cheeks and strange sob sounds are escaping my mouth. I can't beleive this. One of my bestfriends are in hospital and now I have lost the other. I put my head in my hands and just let all the emotions run free.

Who done that to Finnick?

Does Finnick remember anything?

Why did Annie cut?

Where has she gone?

Will she leave the Collage?
