Riley's POV:

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

The blaring alarm wakes me up at seven in the morning. I blink the sleep out of my eyes and turn off the alarm.

I feel something warm pressed to my body, and look to my right to see that it's Maya. The alarm didn't wake her up, and she's sleeping peacefully. Her golden hair is tangled around her head in a big mess, making her look adorable.

I slowly brush a strand of hair back from her face and lean down so my lips are level to hers. I kiss her softly and close my eyes. I feel her smile and pull back from me.

I open my eyes and lock them with hers. "Morning sunshine." I say.

"Hhhmmm, morning." She mumbles, stretching out her arms and yawning.

"Come on, we've gotta get ready for school." I say, tossing my legs over the side of the bed.

"What day is it?" Maya asks tiredly.

"Tuesday." I say as I walk around the bed to her side. "Now come on," I pull on her arm trying to get her out of the bed.

"Okay, okay, just gimme a second. You get dressed first and I promise I'll be up by then." She says.

"Okay, fine." I walk into my closet and pick out a long red flowery sundress. While I'm at it, I grab an outfit from the rack of Maya's just-in-case-sleepover clothes that she keeps at my house.

I put on the dress and walk back out into my room. "Here," I say to Maya, who is slowly climbing out of bed. I toss the clothes to her and she goes into my closet to change.

I sit down at my little hair and makeup desk and brush out my hair. I style it so it's in two French braids and put on a little bit of mascara and blush.

"You know you don't need that stuff, right?" I hear Maya say. I look into the mirror and see her standing behind me.

"Why not?" I ask.

"Because you're absolutely stunning without any makeup."

I blush and look at my hands. "And what about with makeup?" I ask.

"Just as beautiful." She whispers into my ear. Before I know what's happening she sits down on my lap, puts her arms around my shoulders, and pecks me on the lips.

Then she stands back up and starts walking out of my room. "Meet you downstairs." She says.

I quickly apply some light pink lip gloss and bound down the stairs.

We walk through the front doors of the school confidently holding hands. Everyone looks at us weirdly, but there aren't any whispers. I guess that's a good sign.

I open my locker and put my stuff in it.

"Hey guys." I hear Farkle say.

I turn around and see him, Lucas, Smackle, and Zay all standing there looking at us.

"Hi." I say.

"So, did you dig up any information on Missy?" Maya asks.

"Sorry, but we couldn't find anything." Lucas says.

"Literally." Smackle says. "Not a thing. I even tried hacking into her text messages, but I couldn't. That girl is heavily guarded. Probably just in case something like this happens."

"Well, that's okay." I say.

"It is?" Zay asks.

"Yes. Because last night not only did I apologize to Charlie and become friends with him, I also got him to tell us who Missy cheated on him with."

"Who?" Lucas asks.

"Josh." Maya says.

"Josh?" Lucas asks. "As in, 'Uncle Boing?'"

"Yep. But don't worry, we got it sorted out with him, and all is well." Maya says.

"But Missy doesn't need to know that." I say mischievously. "Meet us behind the school right after last period. We can decide all of the details of the plan at lunch. We're gonna bring Missy down once and for all."
