Maya's POV:

I sip from a steaming hot cup of hot coca as I stare into Riley's deep chocolate brown eyes. She's telling me a story about how she used to come here all the time when she was little.

We're at a small French café at the corner of a street not too far away from Riley's apartment. It's called Rêver, French for Dream. Of course Riley would bring me here on our first date.

"Oh my god, you have to try the eclairs!" Riley says. She starts talking about how magical it feels to eat it and I take a look around the café.

There aren't any lights on because it's so bright outside, and all of the drapes are open, letting golden rays of sunshine into the room. It's not very big. There are many tiny tables for two, and a large counter where you order your drinks that also has many delicious looking pastries on display.

"So what do you say?" Riley asks. I must've been zoning out because I have to ask, "What?"

"Do you want to split an eclair?" She asks.

"Oh, yeah." I say.

She goes up to the counter to get the eclair. "Okay," She says, sitting back down with a plate in her hand. We eat the delicious eclair and finish our cocoa.

"What's next?" I ask as we step outside.

"Movie?" Riley asks.

"Sure thing." I smile.

---------------------------------------------

"No!" Riley yell-whispers, "Why does she have to die? She's the good person!"

"Sssshhhhh." Someone says from behind us.

"Jeez, Riles. It's just a movie." I say.

"I know, but it's so horrible! I mean how can they just kill her off like that? All she wanted to do was protect-" I cut her off by stuffing popcorn in her mouth.

I laugh and say, "You're so cute when you aren't talking over a movie. Let's keep it that way." I joke.

She rolls her eyes and says, "Okay." Or at least she tries to. With popcorn in her mouth it sounds more like, "Oaay."

After the movie is over we exit the theatre and make our way out of the building through a crowd of people.

"Excuse us," Riley says every time we push through a group of people. We bump right into someone and Riley says, "Oh! I'm so sorry." The person turns around and I immediately make a grossed out face.

It's Missy.

Before we can say anything She says, "Well, aren't you two just adorable." Her voice is thick with sarcasm. She walks away without waiting for our reactions.

"Don't let her get to you, Riles." I say.

"You don't think she knows..." Riley says worriedly.

"No, of course not. That's impossible. Only you and I know, and that's the way it will be until you feel ready to tell."

"Okay." Riley says.

We walk away from the noisy movie theatre and away from the even more annoying Missy. All she does is cause trouble, and I want Riley and I to be as far away from that trouble as possible.
