Rainkit watched her sister go to the nursery. "I guess I'd better go in and tell my side of the story. Skykit will say a completely untrue account of the argument."
"Honestly, have more faith in your sister!" Featherkit scolded. "She wants to be your friend. You've been so grumpy since we were told that we could go out. What's wrong?"
Rainkit sighed. "I guess your right. I'll apologize now."
She felt Featherkit's gaze following her as she hesitated at the nursery entrance. Rainkit sighed and pushed through, surprised to find that Skykit was asleep with Blizzardwind watching her.
Blizzardwind looked up as Rainkit walked in, "Skykit tells me that you had fun outside. That's great!"
"Yeah, lot of fun." Rainkit muttered, thankful that Skykit didn't tell their mother about the argument.
Skykit's breathing was soft and even, showing that she was fast asleep. Her paws were twitching and she licked her jaws. Rainkit thought that she looked like she was chasing a rabbit. She snorted in amusement. Some day, I want to know what Skykit dreams about. Rainkit thought. Then, she curled up next to her sister and fell asleep.
Featherkit was right, Rainkit realized as Skykit moved over in her sleep. She does only want to be my friend. With that, Rainkit fell asleep, happy.
