The next Monday during history class, Ryan was leaning on me lightly tapping my foot with hers.

"Are you flirting with me?" I whispered looking at the smart board where a movie was being played. She shrugged when I wrapped my arm around her shoulders. She slowly scooted over so she could put her head on my shoulder. Bryce slowly leaned in his chair.

Ryan slowly grabbed my other hand and started playing with my fingers. I slowly leaned over and kissed Ryan on the forehead. She smiled then Bryce put the chair legs on all four.

The teacher turned the movie off to talk about what happened. She turned the light on then leaned against the front wall to start asking questions about what we just watched.

The kids in the front answered the questions she asked while Ryan wrote down the questions and the corresponding answers. After the teacher stopped asking questions and gave us five minutes of free time Ryan leaned back against me and started doodling on the page she took notes.

"Why did you take notes?" I chuckled putting my arm around her shoulders.

"Because she's going to quiz us when the movie is over," she chuckled just before there was an announcement over the loudspeaker.

'All students must remain in their classrooms, we are in an educational lock down'

Ryan smiled then continued to doodle on her page.

"What does that mean?" I asked her quietly.

"The police dog is here looking for drugs," she whispered. Bryce looked at Ryan quickly to make sure she wasn't joking then he dug through his backpack. He pulled something out and quickly stuffed it in his pants.

Ryan slightly shook her head then kept doodling. "What are you doodling?" I asked.

"Stuff to help me remember my notes," she answered then set her notebook down. I chuckled when she slowly stretched and looked at me. She smiled then looked forward when Bryce leaned over and started whispering to Maria.

"How long does an educational lock down last?" I whispered to Ryan.

"Usually only a few minutes," she answered. "Upwards of an hour if they find something," she said then looked back at me. "Why, you want to get away from me that bad?" she chuckled. I shook my head then smiled.

"I'm just hopping I don't have to be by Bryce anymore today," I chuckled. She nodded then leaned forward and dug threw her backpack. She leaned back against me and grabbed my left hand slowly.

"What are you doing?" I asked when she uncapped her sharpie.

"I'm just going to draw you a picture," she said then smiled at me. "Calm down," she giggled then put my hand on her leg so she could draw on it.

"What are you going to draw?" I asked. She shrugged then started drawing on my hand.

After about twenty minutes she was done drawing. She smiled just before there was a bark just outside the door. The door was unlocked from the outside then the principal stuck his head in.

"Can all of you come out into the hallway please," he said. Ryan stood up very slowly then limped her way to the door with me right behind her and Bryce in front of her.

When we got into the hallway, I leaned against the wall and Ryan leaned against me. Bryce sighed very heavily and leaned against the wall next to us.

"This is stressful," he mumbled.

"Maybe you shouldn't bring weed to school," I said then wrapped my arms around Ryan.

Ryan started playing with my fingers lightly. I slowly rested my head on top of her head. She very slowly moved her head up. "I don't want to be by him," she whispered. I nodded then pushed off from the wall and lead Ryan to the other side of the hall and leaned against the wall again.

She put her head on my chest when I wrapped my arms around her again. "Do you have any plans for this weekend?" she whispered to me.

"I don't think so," I thought about it for a second, "Why?" I asked.

"I have a thing going on this weekend," she said then pulled away from me to look at me. "And I don't want to go by myself," she nodded slightly.

"Well what is it?" I chuckled.

"A family reunion," she sighed quietly.

"You want me to meet your whole family?" I squeezed my eye brows together then smiled.

"Well not my whole family, just my mom's side of the family," she smiled.

"Yeah, I'll come with you," I mumbled just before the drug dog along with its escorting officer walked out of the room. They made their way towards us and Bryce while we all filed back into the classroom. The dog turned and sniffed the air by Bryce when Ryan and I walked into the classroom.

The principal stopped Bryce from walking into the classroom. He sighed then followed the principal away from the classroom.

Ryan sat back down in her seat then leaned against me when I sat down next to her. "He is not smart," Ryan chuckled then slowly rubbed my hand.

"So where is your family reunion?" I asked with a smile.

"It's at a park a few miles away," she shrugged.

"What day is it?" I asked.

"Saturday," she put her head on my shoulder. "I have a cousin I don't want you talking to," she mumbled.

"Why?" I asked.

"She does this thing, where she talks to all of the people I talk to," she paused. "And I'll tell you more tonight," she mumbled.

"Okay," I nodded just before the announcement went off.

'This concludes the educational lock down'

Ryan stood up when the bell rang for us to leave the classroom. She grabbed her backpack then waited for me to walk her to her next class.

When we got to her class, I kissed her quickly before she left my side. She blushed then walked into her class.
