At six o'clock, we headed home. Lilie had kept flirting with me which made Ryan angry. Ryan sat in the front set slowly running her fingers through her hair quietly while May talked about how much fun it was playing two versus one in volleyball.
I parked in the drive way then unbuckled when I turned my car off. May climbed out and headed inside. "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Just peachy," she mumbled unbuckling.
"Ryan," I mumbled when she grabbed the door handle and moved to get out. She turned to me slowly then sighed and leaned back in the seat. "What's wrong?" I asked quietly. She crossed her arms then shrugged. "Well, are you mad?" I asked.
"Yes," she grumbled.
"At me?" I asked quietly. She shook her head. "Then tell me why you're mad,"
"You already know Zach," she rubbed her eye slowly.
"Because your cousin was flirting with me?" I asked. She nodded slowly. "Well, I'm not going to talk to her," I chuckled. She chuckled too then looked up when my mom walked out of the house to see what we were doing. "Let's go inside," I said then climbed out of my car.
"Did you have fun?" Mom asked when we got inside.
"Yes," May said sitting on the couch. Ryan smiled lightly then sighed after sitting down.
"Did you eat?" Mom asked.
"We ate before we left the park," I nodded then sat down next to Ryan on the couch.
"Okay," Mom nodded then put her hands on her hips lightly.
Ryan and I went to my room after watching a movie with May. Ryan sat on my bed then ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm stressed," she mumbled when I laid down behind her.
"Sorry," I mumbled then slowly rubbed her back. She slowly laid down and put her head on my chest. We sat quietly for half an hour until my phone started ringing. Ryan sat up so I could grab my phone from my back pocket. It was an unknown number.
I answered it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi Zach," the person answered.
"Who is this?" I sat up. Ryan sighed quietly.
"It's Lilie," the girl answered.
Ryan took my phone and stood up. "How the hell did you get his number this time?" she asked walking out of my room so I couldn't hear.
I followed her after a few minutes. She was sitting on the front porch. She wasn't on the phone anymore. She looked at me when I sat down next to her. She handed my phone to me then sighed again.
"I told you," she whispered bringing her legs up to her chest.
"And I told you, I'm not going to talk to her," I wrapped my arms around her. She put her face into my neck then slowly wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Let's go see a movie," I said then slowly stood up.
"Right now?" she chuckled.
"Yep," I smiled when she stood up. I walked inside and got my car keys and my wallet. I told mom we were going to a movie then went back outside.
"What movie are we going to see?" she asked after driving for a few minutes.
"How about a scary movie?" I smiled.
"So we can cuddle?" she asked with a little giggle.
"You said it, not me," I chuckled.
"The only scary movie out is "The Nun"," she said looking at her phone.
