The next day at school I saw Ryan leaning on her locker. I slowly walked over to her then saw the crutches under her arms and a bulky cast on her ankle and a scarf around her neck.

"What happened?" I asked confused. She looked down at her leg then looked back at me.

"I don't want to talk about it here," she mumbled then looked around the hallway slowly.

Maria walked over and pushed Ryan. Ryan grumbled then turned and started hobbling away. I followed her to the library where she sat down. I sat down next to her. She slowly put her head on my shoulder then closed her eyes.

"Are you okay?" I whispered. She nodded slowly. "Do you need a ride home tonight?" I asked. She nodded again. "Do you have to hobble around school until your legs healed?" She nodded again. "I can take your history book for you so you backpack isn't too heavy," I offered.

"Okay," she moved to grab her history book. She set it in front of me then put her head back on my shoulder. "My head hurts," she whispered.

"Do you need some Tylenol or something?" I asked.

She shook her head, "I'm fine," she mumbled then closed her eyes.

"I'll walk you to class," I said when the first bell rang.

"Okay," she stood up slowly then grabbed her crutches.

I walked Ryan to class. She smiled at me. "Want to walk to me to my next class too?" she giggled when I set her back pack down next to her.

"Do you want me to?" I chuckled.

"Kinda," she giggled.

"Okay," I smiled, "I'll come and walk you to your next class," I chuckled when she smiled. I turned and walked out of her classroom then to my class.

Ryan texted me throughout the entirety of first hour. She kept sending me emoji's with no words to go with them. When I met up with her to walk her to class she was giggling quietly.

"Did you get my texts?" she giggled.

"Yes," I laughed. "What were you trying to say?" I chuckled.

"Just trying to annoy you," she smiled then stopped at her next class. "Walk me to class next hour?" she asked slowly.

"Defiantly," I nodded. She smiled then hopped into the class room.

At lunch time I helped Ryan get her lunch. I stood in line with her and held her tray for her.

"Thanks Zach," she said when we sat down.

"You're welcome," I said setting her tray down.

"Can I come over tonight?" she asked quietly.

"Sure," I nodded when she slowly put her head on my shoulder.

The rest of the school day consisted of me walking Ryan to her classes. She texted me during every class and would smile every time I met up with her to walk her to class.

Ryan met me by my car after school. "We have to pick up May," I said when we climbed in.

"Okay," she smiled the slowly rubbed her knee.

"So can you tell me what happened?" I asked starting my car.

"Can it wait until we're not in the car?" she asked slowly.

"Is it that bad?" I asked squeezing my eyebrows together.

"Yes," she said slowly. I sighed then nodded slowly while pulling up to the elementary school. May walked over and climbed in.
