What Are You Hiding?

Ch.1 Unsure

~ Skye's Thoughts ~
I'm scared. I don't know why, but I feel defeated like I gave up on Chase. But I know it was for the best. Chase knows that I only want him to be happy, even though right now he may not be, but that's still my goal. At least he doesn't have to obey Marshall's orders anymore.

~ Chase's Thoughts ~
I'm terrified. Skye isn't who I thought she was. But that still doesn't mean we should be together. She claims she wants me to be happy but what about her? Who is looking out for her happiness? Is Marshall really the one that can help her with that? What am I saying? I finally have the chance to repay my best friend and keep our promise but something still doesn't feel right.

By the time the two of them reach the Lookout it was morning and their team was already up .

Outside of the Lookout

Everest: "So no one has seen Chase? What if he's missing?!"

Zuma: "Wasn't he supposed to wake us up like an houw ago?" He yawns.

Rocky: "Yeah, he was but I'm sure he's fine..."

The Mixed Breed glances around nervously.

Rocky: "...wherever he is."

Rubble: "Maybe he'll show up when breakfast is ready?" He interjects.

Everest: "But this isn't like Chase. Why would he-"

Marshall: "Skye isn't here either!" He calls out.

Looking behind her, Everest sees a frantic Marshall rushing towards the group.

Marshall: "I just checked her room. She's not there."

Zuma: "Maybe they awe togethew?"

Everest & Marshall : "They shouldn't be."

Rocky: "That doesn't matter. We should still find them."

Zuma: "Suwe but whewe would we even stawt dudes?"

Rubble: "And can we have breakfast before looking for them?"

Rocky: "Come on, Rubble. We should at least check in town first."

Marshall: "I'll look for Skye at Katie's!"

Everyone turns to stare at the Dalmatian suspiciously.

Marshall: "I mean, I'll obviously be looking for Chase too of course."

Overhearing the conversation, Chase interrupts.

Chase: "No need."

He makes his way over to them with Skye following close behind.

Everest: "Chasey! When did you leave? Where were you? And why with her?"

Rubble: "We almost skipped breakfast!"

Skye: "We were only at the beach."

Everest: "Doing what?!"

Rocky gives the rest of the team the 'look'.

Chase: "Grow up, Rocky."

Rocky: "It's true then." He grins.

Narrowing his eyes, Chase stares back at the Mixed Breed, annoyed.
