Inside Chase's Doghouse

~Chase's Thoughts~
I don't ever want to look at Marshall again because I no longer see someone I can trust like I used to. How could he fake something like that? Why would he fake it?! He's not my hero, he never was... Which makes me think that everything we went through together all these years was fake. I... I regret calling him my best friend.

The German Shepherd weakly punches his bedroom's wall.

He doesn't even know how much he has hurt me. He probably doesn't even care... But that's fine because I'll stop caring about him too. And I know what has to be done with people you can't trust anymore.

Outside Chase's Doghouse

~Marshall's Thoughts~
And now, everyone hates me... But not as much as I hate myself. I know I messed up, I know. And I want to fix it but Chase is obviously in no mood to forgive me right now. I- I don't know if he is even capable of forgiving me for what I've done.

Standing a few feet away from Chase's door, Marshall stares at the ground.

He wasn't supposed to find out this way and I know it's just a matter of time before he asks why I did it. How can I tell him that I only did it because... Well, because...

Marshall looks up at Chase's Doghouse and he physically winces.

Because back then, I was jealous of him... I still am. I mean, come on! Chase has everything! He can get anything or anyone he wants. The day Ryder made him second-in-command was the worst of my life. While the mayor and everyone else were celebrating Chase's big new role in the PAW Patrol, I was completely forgotten about. It was a day all about him, it always seems to be all about him. But now that I look back on it, I shouldn't have let my jealousy get the best of me. I can see what the big deal was now. I have to make this right.

~End of Marshall's Thoughts~

The Dalmatian works up the courage and finally heads over to knock on Chase's door. Marshall is surprised to see the door open.

Marshall: "Listen, Chase, I-"

Chase slams his door shut. Marshall takes in a huge breath of air before shouting.

Marshall: "I know, I deserve that but can I just talk to you?" He pleads.

Chase: "Can't you see that I want to be alone right now!?"

Marshall: "But I need to-"

Chase: "Just go. You've done enough."

Marshall frowns and starts to head back to his room when he gets stopped.

Skye: "Why were you just at Chase's dog house?"

Marshall: "Nothing! That's why!"

Skye: "That's not an answer."

Marshall: "Well, I'm not going to give you one so just mind your own business." He remarks.

Skye: "You're lucky to have Chase as a best friend. But I wouldn't say that he is lucky to have you as one..."

The Dalmatian looks away, feeling a mix of hurt and guilt.

Marshall: "I... Listen, I feel horrible because, well, it's just..." He hesitates. "I'm just hungry."
