Everest: "Okay, how about... Um... Blocking out their voice?"

Chase: "I guess." He pauses. "Put it on the list."

So Everest did...

Chase: "Ugh! This will never work!"

Everest: "Come on, how bad can your anger actually be."

Chase: "You don't want to know."

Everest: "Geez, fine."

Chase: "There has to be a way. I just can't go through what I went through again."

Everest: "Wait, so does that mean you actually have done that before?"

Chase: "Unfortunately, yeah."

Everest: "What?! When? What happened?!"

Chase: "I don't want to talk about it."

Everest: "You never want to talk about those kinds of things." She scoffs.

The Shepherd remains silent.

Everest: "Anyways, shouldn't you be heading back to the lookout soon?"

Chase: "It can wait."

Everest: "Okay, but remember you have to talk with Skye about Marshall's deal."

Chase: "I guess you're right. But what do I do if I see Marshall?" He worries.

Everest: "You have the list don't you?"

Chase: "Yeah but-"

Everest: "Come on you big baby! Just go, you'll do fine."

Chase: "Yeah, alright..."

The German Shepherd makes his way toward the Lookout. Everest watches as he goes, wistful.

Everest: "At least he will be happy..."

Several moments go by as the Husky sits in silence when suddenly the snap of a twig makes her turn around.

Marshall: "Hey, Everest."

She narrows her eyes.

Everest: "Wow, I can see this stalking thing is becoming a habit of yours." She mocks.

Marshall: "I do what I have to do to-"

Everest: "Save it. I don't care."

Marshall: "What? I don't think I heard you right."

Everest: "No, you did. I don't want to be involved in any of this anymore."

Marshall: "Is this because of something Chase said?"

Everest: "And what if it is? What if I am sick and tired of him treating me like an enemy?"

Marshall: "Then you should-"

Everest: "You are not going to mess this up for me. I'm trying to be better!"

Brief silence.

Marshall: "And what if that is still not enough for him?"

Everest: "I'll take it because it is enough for me." She declares. "I know what you're doing, Marshall, and I'm telling you it's just going to create bigger problems."
