Ch.5 Revealed

Marshall: "You dumped Everest?"

Chase: "Oh... damn. You heard?"

Marshall: "Did I not explain the plan well enough for you?" He scoffs. "You have to get back together before-"

Chase: "I can't do that, Marshall. I'm not going to date someone I don't even like."

Marshall: "What could she have possibly done to make you-"

Chase: "She wants to know my past."

Marshall: "What like your first love?"

Chase: "Don't!" He grimaces. "Keep it in the past."

Marshall: "Gosh, now I know."

Chase: "I just... I want to forget yet I can't go a day without remembering..."

Marshall: "Yeah, sounds complicated and whatever but that's not important right now. Does Skye know that you dumped Everest?"

Chase: "I don't think so."

Marshall: "Good. Because then she'll just come right back to you."

Chase: "Are you going to make me get another fake girlfriend?"

Marshall: "Well..."

Chase: "You know what? Don't answer that because I won't do it anymore."

The German Shepherd walks around Marshall and heads for the Lookout.

Marshall: "His past is that painful?"

Outside Mr. Porter's Restaurant

Debra: "But it really looked like he had a crush on you too."

They stand on the sidewalk facing each other as Skye anxiously fidgets.

Skye: "I think he does but he denies. Probably only because I'm dating Marshall and if Chase does anything about that Marshall would guilt trip him or something and if he doesn't, Everest, Chase's girlfriend now, definitely will do anything to stop me."

Debra: "Wait, you and Marshall? Chase and Everest? When did all that happen?"

Skye: "It's complicated."

Debra: "Riiight."

Skye: "What would you do if you were me?"

Debra: "I'd fight back."

The Cockapoo's eyes suddenly widen.

Skye: "You're right."

At the Lookout

Marshall: "Hey, babe."

Skye: "Please, don't call me that. And can I talk to you in private?"

Marshall: "Okay?"

Skye: "Great. Can we talk at your dog house when everyone is asleep?"

Marshall: "Why do I feel like this isn't your first time doing this?"

Skye: "I have no idea." She suspiciously smiles.

- Time Skip -

Marshall's Dog House

An arm reaches up to the door and faintly knocks.

Skye: "Marshall, I'm here."

Marshall: "Wow, this must be very important, you stayed up this late." He yawns.

Skye: "It is." She says walking inside.

Marshall: "So... what is it?"

Skye: "Well..."

Marshall: "First let me ask, is this about Chase?"

Skye: "Yes but-"

Marshall: "Seriously? Why can't he finally be out of the picture?"

Skye: "Because... I still have feelings for him."

Marshall: "Why? He doesn't feel the same so get over him already."

Skye: "I don't care. I'm willing to fight for him."

Marshall: "Don't make me laugh. As long as he takes orders from me you two will never be together."

Skye: "He trusts me and I won't fail him."

Marshall: "Oh, really?"

Skye: "Yes."

Marshall: "Has he told you about his little box of secrets?"

Skye: "What?"

Marshall: "Exactly!"

Skye: "At least I don't have to force him to tell me."

Marshall: "He owes me! You know how hard it was to not be able to walk because of an ice shard in your leg? No, you don't."

Skye: "Yeah but... wait a second... that doesn't make any sense."

Marshall: "What are you talking about?"

Skye: "You just said that you couldn't walk when the ice shard hit your hind leg."

Marshall: "Yeah? So?"

Skye: "How could've you saved Chase's life if you couldn't move?"

Marshall: "Um... uh, I meant getting hit after I saved his life, I think."

Skye: "You don't know?"

Marshall: "What? No, I do. It's just hard remembering all the details."

Skye: "So, you're saying some details can be wrong, right?"

Marshall: "Um..."

Skye: "Because if you couldn't walk or run or use your legs at all, like you said, then how did you reach Chase? It's almost... impossible. You're lying about some things."

Marshall: "That's ridiculous! I'm a hero!"

Skye: "Or you're a liar."

The Dalmatian's whole demeanor changes as he leans closer to Skye.

Marshall: "Good luck trying to prove it."

Skye: "W- What?"

Marshall: "You have no evidence because I thought of everything. And one other thing..."

His door suddenly swings shut. Skye turns around then back at the Dalmatian and freezes. Marshall holds a tranquilizer.

Marshall: "You're not gonna tell anyone. Especially not Chase."

Two shots are fired.
