"Geez! You scared me!"
He chuckled. "Sorry, I didn't mean to." He cleared his throat and said, "I was on my way to my car and I saw you having car problem. I could help." He walked closer to me and asked if he could open the hood. I nodded.
"It should not have any problems. It's new," I told him.
He grunted as he checked the machines and wires of the car I had no idea of. "Some wires are cut. You have to take this to a car shop."
"Cut?! Who could possibly—” I stopped when I remembered Evan's devil smirk. "Damn!"
The guy looked around the parking lot then back at me. Maybe he knew about it already. After all, Evan’s pretty popular. Or maybe not. Whatever, I was just thankful he didn’t ask any more questions about it.
"Looks like everyone's taken off. Come, I'll take you and your car to the nearest shop."
I stared at him blankly. Could I possibly trust him? I just met him. He could be some sort of criminal!
He tilted his head slightly and smiled disbelievingly, as if he just read my mind. "C’mon! Do I look like a kidnapper or something?"
I bit my bottom lip, deliberating whether I should go with him or not. Blonde shaggy hair matched with a pretty face and a charming smile made him looked all-nice-guy. But then, looks could be deceiving.
“Well?” he asked.
“I don’t really have a choice, do I?”
“Unless you count being stuck in this empty parking lot a choice,” he shrugged, humor evident in his voice. “So, you coming?”
“Alright, alright.”
"Good. Let's go then."

"Miss, you can get your car after a week. We ran out some of the supplies needed for your car. We already ordered but it'll take two days to arrive."
My poor Caroline.
My house was a twenty minute drive to school. Mornings would be fine because mom could drive me but cab for seven days would be expensive!
"Okay," I said. I got a pen and a piece of paper in their counter and wrote my number. "You can call me if my car's already fine."
He nodded and went back in an office-like room.
"So how was it?" Blondie Guy asked me with his smile again. Seriously, he should stop doing that. He was melting my insides.
I shrugged and replied, "Wasn't good. The guy said it'll take seven days."
"That sucks. Well, c'mon. I'll drive you home," he offered.
I didn't want to take a cab especially when a cute guy offered me a ride home so I told him, "Sure. I hate taking cabs."
The ride so far was quiet and uncomfortable. He was still technically a stranger and I wasn't really good in making conversation so I stayed silent.
"Are you new around here?" he asked out of the blue which surprised me.
"Y-yeah. I just moved last week with my mom," I said. "Turn left."
"Oh, okay." He chuckled. "You know the road back to your house well enough."
"Yeah, I think I have road memories," I told him jokingly. It was partly true though. Everytime I go to different places, I kind of memorize the road way.
