No One's POV

These damaged souls still can't love the same.

They'll never be the same.

So long, either dealt with pain, or going through the pain. Refused to love and refused to let go. Opposite, but the same.

She stacked the bricks of her wall so thick, she neglected to heighten it. She let her slowly climb up; despite the coldness of her demeanor and words.

Even the heavy raining didn't deter her. The latter put her fences down for her. Through the smoke and mirrors of the time they've been two, they'are now clear as crystals.

Their bruises covered with melting ice. Their, once opening rather than healing, scars, now almost gone. They see each other for who they really are. Looking pass the dull green and drained brown.

They brush away each others tears with the pads of their thumbs. Their past empty smiles, now genuine. No more leaving for the night. No more releasing toxic love into their lips.

It was real.

It was pure.

She no longer had to say:

"Let me use you to love you."
