⠀⠀⠀⠀Evelyn paced through the thrown room, hands gripped on the handle of her blade. Gracyn, Connor, Bex, and Emile had been out for hours, and dusk was quickly approaching. She couldn't have these four die now, they were all she and Rivera had to help forge the alliance. Without them, there was no alliance.

"If you keep pacing like that you'll dig a hole in the ground." A familiar voice echoed through the empty throne room. Instinctively, Evelyn pulled out her sword, pointing it at the intruder. "Woah woah okay let's not do this again, yeah?" Her brother, Joseph, laughed. Unfazed by the tip of his sister's blade was centimeters away from slicing into his Adam's apple.

"Joseph!" Evelyn gasped, dropping her sword and pulling her brother into a hug, "when did you get here?!" It had been weeks since she'd seen her older brother, and the last time they communicated was a few days after the battle, when she practically stole his bride to be.

"I just got settled, I wanted to get everything done before I saw you." He explained with a smile, pulling away from his armor cloaked sister. He looked proud. "I heard you in Rivera got engaged, did you use the ring I sent?" He asked.

"Of course, father told me what you did. Thank you."

"For what? It's the rightful ring, I just put it in the right hands." He complimented as Evelyn put the sword back into her holster.

"For accepting, more than mother and father at least." She chuckled, "I swear if they could they'd send me a letter a day on how I'm doing something wrong, they would."

"Evie, you know they love you." Joseph smiled sympathetically, "mother...Father, they both are just stressed about having an heir." He reminded her, she sighed, "heavy is the head that wears the crown." He reminded her, tapping his temple. She laughed, elbowing him in the gut.

"Yes please tell me that when I'm about to get married and crowned the second queen of Iqwrath." She spoke with a sarcastic tone, "I already have enough to manage with this war on our doorstep and a dimension into hell to close." Her tone suddenly dropped, along with her expression.

Joseph's mouth cracked open, his face morphing from amused to saddened. "You'll be an excellent queen, Evelyn." He assured her, a hand gripping her shoulder.

"It's not that that worries me, Joseph. It's this damn dimension, what if all these efforts are for nothing? What if we are all doomed to be consumed by flames?" She said, her voice a mixture of fear and anger, "all except that damn fire mage. Prince of Hell and yet he does nothing when we're all fighting for our lives from demons!"
