~ Ashley's POV ~

 I wake up to have the sun right in my eyes making me groan.  I turn around  to be met with a broad chest and an arm around my waist. I smile looking a Adrian's face. He looks so cute when he's sleeping. I got up, walked to the bathroom and did my business. When I was done I walked out and saw Adrian sitting up pouting looking for me.

" Looking for someone." I said smiling. His eyes brightened at the sound of my voice and looked at me.

" Not anymore." He said and got and wrapping his arms around my waist. He put his face in the crook of neck and started kissing down it. I giggle until he kissed my sweet spot making me let out a little moan. He pulled away and walked into the closet leaving me there shocked. I growled when I realized what he did. I hear him chuckle from the closet making me glare at the closet doors. I left the room and made my way to the kitchen were Natalie was there crying. I ran up to her.

" Nat, what happened?" I asked worried for her.

" My mate just practically just rejected me." She sobbed onto my shoulder. I gasped. Being rejected is the worst thing for a werewolf. I growled thinking of the person who rejected Nat. Me must be stupid as hell to let someone like her go.

" Who is he." I asked her trying to hold my anger back.

" Jacob, the beta." My eyes widen. What an beta rejecting his mate. WHAT!!! I growl loudly and walk out of the kitchen. I bump into a woman about 31.

" Hey do you know where Beta Jacob is." I ask politely and she pointed to the back door.

" Thank you so much." I said giving her a smile. I run to the back door accidentally using my vampire speed. I swing the door open and see Jacob talking to Sean. I walk to him and tap him on the shoulder. When he turned around I punched him in the face with all power in me. He fell back with a bloody nose and wide eyes. I shake my hand mumbling ow because I hurt when I punched him.

" I'LL KILL YOU!!" My wolf screamed at him. All I saw was red and my wolf was in full control but I still had to make sure that she didn't kill him for Nat's sake. Trish was on top of him and clutching his throat with one hand and punching with the other. I was suddenly pulled off by someone by the sparks I could tell that it was Adrian. He was talking to me but I was not paying attention to him I was too busy glaring at Jacob who was trying to catch his breath and stop the bleeding from his broken nose. People were crowding us and were whispering things like ' What the hell just happened?' 'Luna is badass'.

" WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!" Jacob yelled but I didn't flinch.

"Watch your tone to my mate." Adrian said in a low deadly tone but still growling.

" I don't think he knows the meaning of mate." I spat out at Jacob. He looks at me confused at first but then looked back at the house with a frightened look but couldn't move. I turned around and Nat was laying on the ground not breathing. I broke free from Adrian's grip and ran towards Nat, Jacob following me. I had tears in my eyes when I made it to her and started doing CPR on her. After a minute of doing this she sat up quickly gasping for air with tears in her eyes. I sigh in relief when I saw she was ok. Before I could ask her what happened Jacob smashed his lips into hers. She quickly responded and melted into the kiss.

" Ok, ok get a room people." I said smiling a little.

" Oh my god, what happened to your face? " She asked worried.

" She hurt me." He said in a 5 year old voice pointing at me with a pout. She glared at me

" What, I was being overprotective of you sorry for loving you like the sister I never had." I said, crossing my arms over my chest. She just  smiled at me and looked at Jacob.

" Don't be a baby. You'll heal fast enough." She said patting his head like a dog. I smiled and looked at Adrian.

" Is It alright if I go for a run alone to clear my thought?" I ask with puppy dog eyes and with my lip out.

" Considering you just took down my beta, the best warrior. I'd say you could take care of your self. Go for it." He said. I smiled and pecked his lips before running behind a tree, stripping out of my clothes, and shifting. Running out into the woods letting my wolf take control for a little while.

10 minutes later we found a lake and sat down drinking some. Resting for a bit I laid down resting my head on my pawn, and of course I fell asleep. Normal me.

I woke up and it was dark except the moon that shone brightly in the night sky. I looked down at the water slipped. I fell in, the cold water waking me up fully. My wolf laughed at me in my head. 5 minutes later I finally decided that I should head back to the pack house. Adrian was probably going crazy because I was still not home. I got out and shook my body making water go everywhere.

SNAP!

I spun around growling and looking around. I quickly changed the color of my wolf using one of my spells. Now I was a grey wolf. I turned around when I heard a growl and saw the last person I'd expected.

Conner.
