~Adrian's POV~

I walk out of the room with my head down just thinking about Ashes angry face, that was now imprinted in my mind. My wolf was continuously whining in my head. The look on Ashes face was so angry and with me, just because I was protective of her. I never want to see her hurt or in danger. And she's mad at me for feeling that way. But I did let my actions get a little out of control when I hit Conner.

The next thing I know I somehow ended up outside just looking up at the moon. I remove my clothes and shift into my midnight black wolf. I start running as fast as I can around my territory, dodging logs, trees, and rocks. I ended up at my favorite place to come when I was a kid, when my mom was alive. I shift back and put some shorts on,that I left here a while ago, and walk towards the crystal blue lake. I sit down on the soft green grass and set my feet in the water. When the water came in contact with my bare feet I instantly feel relaxed. The warm water embraces my skin. I lay back and look up to see the stars that make the night sky look almost magical.

 I start finding the constellations like the big dipper, little dipper, lynx, and hercules. I used to do this all the time with my mom, we would come out here late at night  while my dad was sleeping and we'd come out here, put our feet in the water, lay back and find constellations in the night sky. We also made jokes and shared secrets here. We were the only ones who knew about this place, it was our little secret, a getaway from the outside world where we could just have some mom and son time. My mom and me were really close, when she died a part of me was buried deep down inside of me. I stayed in my room for months, I didn't eat, I didn't talk to anyone. I became a shell of a person and I'm still not completely the same. I never will be. The boy I used to me died off with my mother.

I sit there in my own thought for hours. I finally get up after I see that the sun was about to rise. I start making my way back to the pack house, Ashley's angry face still invading my mind. When I make it to the house I walk in, and go straight to my office and start doing paperwork. Trying to distract myself from Ashley's angry face that was there every time I closed my eyes.

~Ashley's POV~

I couldn't get a wink of sleep last night. I can't believe what I did to Adrian. What is wrong with me. He was just being protective of me and he had a right to be. His wolf was just on edge. He was scared for me. I sigh and drop my head looking to the floor. Just then Conner walked out of the bathroom and I turn my head to look at him. Over the years he has grown so much. He now had abbs. No stop. 

I stare at the ceiling and let my thoughts run wild. I could feel Conner's eyes on me, but I didn't turn to look at him.

" You ok, babe?" He asked concern laced in his voice. The concern wanted to bring back memories but I pushed them back. I could hear Trish in my head whimpering. Alexis wasn't saying anything. I could feel that she felt uneasy but she wouldn't say anything. I didn't want to answer Conner's question, but then again I didn't want to seem rude.

" No, I have so much going on. My wolf wants to be with Adrian, my vampire wants to be with you. Either way one is always mad at me. It's painful." I said with a long sigh. Through my mate bond I could feel that Conner's sympathy. I turned around so that my back was facing Conner.

I close my eyes, though with the sun in my eyes I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. I layed there for about 10 minutes. Conner was already exploring the Pack house, I decided it was time to go and apologize to Adrian. I shouldn't have blown up on him like that.

I stand up and go to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. When I was done I wrapped a town around me and realized I don't have any clothes in this room. I let out an annoyed sigh and walk out of mine and Conner's room. I walked out on to the cold wood floor. I quickly make my way down the halls, using my memory to guide me to Adrian's room. When I make it I quickly open the door and rush in making sure no one saw me.

I quickly grabbed one of Adrian's sweat pants and a shirt. Everything was pretty big on me but I made it work.

I walked out of the room and made my way back downstairs running into a person. It was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes and had way too much makeup. I ignored the fact that she looked like a clown and pulled a smile on.

" Hello." I said to her. She looked taken back a bit but put on a smile.

" Hey." She said, the smile still lingering on her face. She seemed nice.

" My name is Ashley, what's yours?" I ask.

"Omg, I love your name. Mine is Tiffany." She said proudly. I will admit I love that name.

" Thanks, I like yours too." I say laughing a little.

" So, why are you here? You don't smell like a pack member" She said sniffing the air.

" Oh I'm the Alpha's mate." I say smiling at the thought Adrian. I see her facial expression change.

" Mate? Ha. Nice try but everyone knows that Adrian is MINE." She says flipping her hair. Trish and I growl at the thought of her even touching Adrian. She gives me a smug smile seeing that she got to me. She leaned down to my ear and said one this that pissed me off to the max.

" He's really good in bed."

OH HELL NO!!!
