                                             ~ Chapter 4 - You're not so bad yourself!~

The following day, Matt has spent his lunchtime working on the upcoming exhibition when the artist herself made her appearance with another woman.

"Hello Mr. Stone, how are you?" she greeted with a wide smile.

"Hi Emy, you do remember that I told you to call me Matt, right?" he said returning her smile. "Mr. Stone sounds as if you're talking to an old man or something." He added with a chuckle.

Emy was twenty-four years old and had a great talent for painting the supernatural. She had a petite frame and small face embellished by expressive hazel almond shaped eyes. Her straight dark brown hair was twisted in a side braid with a few curls framing her face, making her look younger.

"Yes, sorry", she smiled apologetically at him before turning to her friend and said: "This is my friend Angelica King, she represents the journalist who will be coming at the launching in two days and who is willing to write an article about the exhibition and the gallery. Unfortunately, she was unavailable today..." she trailed off not knowing how to continue and waiting for his reaction.

"Of course! You told me about it on the phone the other day. Ms. King, I'm Matthew Stone, the owner of this gallery. A pleasure to meet you." he said turning to the beautiful woman in front of him.

Beautiful was quite weak as the woman was simply stunning with curly blonde hair and friendly blue eyes. She was wearing a black and white dress that hugged her curves perfectly. If Matthew was not enamored with the woman at the park, he would have instantly fallen in love.

"Pleasure to meet you too, Matt. I can call you Matt right?" Matt nodded with a small smile, "and do call me Angie. Anyway, as Emy said my best friend, Ellie, Elisabeth Anderson will be writing the article, I'm only the editor. She will be here at the launching as Emy said and may pop in another time also to collect more information on the gallery and have an interview with you. She would have done it today but other things came up. I also need you to sign a contract to certify that we are allowed to write about the gallery." She said with a smile.

"Alright", Matt said accepting the brown envelope that Angie handed him and motioned for the two women to follow him

As they made their way to the hanging wood and glass staircase, Angie admired the decoration of the gallery.

"You have a very nice gallery Matthew", complimented Angie, "the dark timber floor contrasts beautifully with the white walls. It creates this antique feel to it."

"Thank you, Angie. Though, I have to add that I am quite surprised that you know what kind of wood it is." He said looking impressed.

"Oh, don't be. I recently went shopping with my parents as they were redoing the floors of their living room and they got the same one." She said with a small laugh and waving her hand nonchalantly.

"Ah, makes sense", he chuckled. "Come in", Matt ushered them to his office at the right side of the stairs.

It was quite spacious with light grey walls and large white windows. He took a seat behind the dark wood desk and motioned for the two women to sit opposite him on white leather couches.

"So where do I sign?" he asks going straight to the point, it's already quarter to four. Fifteen minutes before I get to see her, he thought as Angie showed him where he is to sign.
