Hey guys, Isabella here!!
I'm really and truly sorry for the long wait... I have no excuse, but I will try my best to keep the updates coming...
On a lighter note... Here's the new chapter. It's a bit longer than the other ones but I found all the things in there important so I kept it as a whole instead of splitting it...
Without further ado... ENJOY!!!
~ Chapter 11- You have to tell Amber! ~
On Saturday morning, Ellie along with Angie and Amber went to the King's home for brunch. All throughout the meal, Ellie has watched Helena and George closely. They were exactly what she wanted in life. A life partner that will make her happy.
Watching them, she saw things that she never saw before, like the soft look that George has when he looks at Helena and her tender ones for him. They occasionally shared secretive smiles as if sharing a private conversation. Their way of speaking and gestures are similar, as if they were the same person. She could see some habits that they share, for example, George always had a habit of holding his fork upright when talking and now Helena does it too. She was so used to see him do that that she adopted it unconsciously.
However, a sick feeling tells her that she may not find it with Dean; this complicity, this closeness
After brunch, Helena called Ellie to come with her for a walk while Angie and Amber were playing with George in the living room.
"Ellie, something is bothering you, I can see it. Is everything alright?" Helena asked.
"Actually I have something important to tell you." Ellie started, she looked up at Helena before adding, "Dean is back and he wants us to be a family."
Helena took a moment to let the news sink in before guiding Ellie to a bench under the apple tree surrounded by flowers.
"Are you going to go out with him?" she asked softly, aware of the dilemma that was taking place in Ellie's mind, she could practically see her brain jumping to different conclusions of the situation.
"Well... I kind of already told him that I would" Ellie murmured quietly.
"Okay... then shouldn't you be a bit more enthusiastic than that?" Helena curiously asked. "I mean, four years ago when he refused to start a family, you were crushed. Sincerely, why is it that you trust him with your heart now? Surely you've learned the hard way that he can't be trusted." She observed Ellie for a moment before adding: "Anyway, it's your choice and I hope that you won't regret it." Helena said.
Ellie could see that Helena disapproved of her choice and that she wanted to say more. She was doing an effort to keep her opinion to herself.
"Helena, tell me what you really think," Ellie demanded, looking at her frankly in the eyes, she saw the hesitation in Helena's eyes. "You can tell me what you think. Angie reassured me that she would support my choice but I can see that she's not happy about it. I want to know your real opinion, not what I wish for you to say. I'm confused and I want an honest answer."
Helena looked at her for a moment, then signed and said, "You're right... I don't approve of your decision. You can't just accept being his girlfriend without being sure that he has really and truly changed. Have you thought about the real reasons why he came back? Are you sure that he is sincere in his claims of wanting a family? Angelica told me what he said to you the other day and frankly... even if he sounds sincere, or looks like he wants to, I'm not sure Dean should be trusted so easily. You should have let him meet Amber. Let him get to know her then, and only then, should you have made a choice.
