~ Chapter 6- Welcome to the Italian Garden restaurant! ~

Two days later, Ellie was standing in front of her mirror as she decided on her outfit for the day. As she did so she reminded herself of the events of the upcoming day. She had a coverage at an art gallery. Her friend Emy is launching her very first art exhibition.

Then she had a meeting with the owner of the gallery. Finally, at three, she had a coffee meeting with Dean to talk about their "relationship" if she could call it like that.

She finally opted for a silk blue shirt that she tucked into light brown trousers. She finished the look with a dark brown belt and light brown flats. She put her hair up in a bun and allowed a few strands to flow, softening the otherwise strict coiffure.

As she was picking up her purse, Angie barged in her room wearing a coral colored dress with spaghetti straps and a flowing skirt and silver heels. She wore full makeup and had curled her golden hair.

"Don't tell me you're wearing that to the exhibition?" she said pointing to Ellie with a look of disgust. "And what about your make up?" she exclaimed dramatically.

Ellie could not help but scoff at her friend's comments. Angie always liked to dress up with the "appropriate" clothes and picture-perfect makeup.

If she wasn't such a fan of books, she could have easily become a model. Ellie had admired Angie's taste in clothing since they were teenagers; she seemed to have an innate talent to know what goes with what. What to wear to impress or simply to stand out of the crowd.

This habit of hers was not shared with her best friend who was completely careless about how things looked together as long as she was dressed. Even she had tried to influence her on numerous occasions.

"What is wrong with it now, Angie?" Ellie sighed, exasperated.

"Well, first of all, you're wearing trousers. How many times do I have to tell you to stop wearing large trousers? They make you look shorter and hide your legs!" Angie exclaimed with a look of horror. "Tying your gorgeous hair is a crime, and you're wearing flats, to a formal art exhibition launching!"

As she seemed to be taking a breath before staring a long speech about matching clothes to events and so on, Ellie cut her off, "Angie! I'm a journalist for this launching, so I don't have to dress up in the first place!"

"But you're also a friend of the artist so you are a valued guest and so, shall dress up as such." She said matter of factly. Then she added with a wicked smile, "And... you have to make Dean regret leaving you by showing off all your assets."

"I'm going for coffee with him", she said losing her patience, "not a formal reception, for Pete's sake!"

Angie stood there, unmoved by her friend's exasperation for a moment before making her way to Ellie's wardrobe and shuffling through the dresses on the rack.
