It was another boring day of school, Jon slowly walked down the hallway towards the benches outside to eat his lunch. He was looking down at his phone when he suddenly bumped into something, dropping his phone. He looked over to see no other than Evan, He stumbled back a little, and instantly his entire face went red. "Uh, I- I'm sorry" he stared at Evan who was starting to lean down to pick up the phone, "You- uh, DON'T- DON'T GET THAT!" Jon screamed out at him, which in turn made Evan shoot up. Jon backed up a bit again, "Sorry, I uh-" Jon quickly reached down picking up his phone. He looked up at Evan one last time, feeling like he was going to cry, and quickly ran down the hallway in the wrong direction without looking back.
"God what the hell is wrong with me" Jon was pacing around his room. "I had one chance, and I messed it up" He feel onto his bed. "I can't imagine what he thinks of me now" He rolled over and began to tear up. He got up the next morning unconvinced it was going to be okay, but he went anyway. Instantly he saw him, standing at his locker with a few friends. "Man, what am I doing" Jon thought to himself, He walked by staring at him, when suddenly... Evan looked right at him. For a moment, the world stopped for Jon, as he stumbled over his own feet. After regaining his footing he looked back over and saw Evan chuckling a bit.
It was finally lunch again and today Jon actually made it to his "Secret place" as he called it, but it was just a bench in the middle of the school garden. He sat there and ate his sandwich and salad, as he saw Evan and his friends walk around to the back of the school. A few of them started to smoke, but Evan just stood there staring off into the field. When he once again, saw Jon staring at him, but this time they both quickly looked away as though they were embarrassed to see each other. Jon wrapped up his lunch and began to walk back to the school, as he felt Evans gaze on him. Once he got closer he began to hear some of the guys talking about him. He wanted to leave the area, the last thing he wanted to hear was someone talking trash about him right in front of the guy he liked. He heard them faintly talk about how they've never really heard him talk, or seen him with anyone, but Evan just stared at him until Jon heard one of them ask if he was alright. Jon quickly got out of the area, holding his chest as he felt like he was about to die.
