Lunch was over and Jon started walking back to his class, as he heard a few people walking up behind him. Before he could turn around he was grabbed and turned around. There were four girls staring at him, as one of them started to talk. "Listen kid" the girl said as she got closer to his face, making him back up against the wall. "You don't want any trouble, right?" Jon didn't reply, he just stood there looking right through her. She got even closer and punched her fist into his gut. Jon immediately hunched over grabbing his stomach, coughing, and spitting up saliva.

"Listen bitch" another girl said standing beside the other one. "Just tell us you'll leave Evan alone, you can do that, right?" her face was twisted, like she knew exactly how this would end. Again Jon didn't say anything, unsure with what to say. It's not that he was trying to stand up to them, but instead he was sincerely thinking over what they were saying. He didn't know if at this point he could just get up and leave. "What d-do you want me to d-do" He finally managed to say. "Just tell him you don't want to deal with him anymore... it doesn't matter how you do it". He started to think about how last time he did that, Evan pushed him. "Would I be able to let go, if he was holding on so hard still?" He thought to himself. By the time Jon snapped back into reality, the girls were gone.

He pushed himself from the wall, staggering a bit from the punch and continued to walk back to class. "Maybe I should leave..." the sudden thought flew into Jon's head and began to multiply. "If it's causing everyone so much trouble, maybe it would be best..." He got cut off from his own thoughts when he heard some people talking at the end of the hall. He couldn't make out what they were saying, but he froze in place when he saw Evan and the prettiest girl in school, Rose, talking face to face, Smiling, and Laughing.

Jon turned his head from the scene, wanting to get away, but he could still hear the muffled chatting and laughing. "So this is why, this is why everything was off..." he said to himself, not meaning to say it out loud. He turned around away from his classroom and began walking down the hallway again. As he continued to walk, tears started to stream down his face. He ran into the closest bathroom, slamming the door and instantly he fell to the ground. Once he got up, he wiped his face one more time, leaving an entire roll of snotty toilet paper on the ground.
