Novienna Valentina stood before the chaos and destruction with wide, fearful eyes. Her body demanded for her to run and flee in the opposite direction, but her feet remained planted on the ground on the same spot. She watched as vampires she had not yet been properly introduced to were slaughtered brutally. Her heart even feeling sorrow for the multiple werewolves, who were slain and left to die.

Her heart was big and kind, but she could not feel an ounce of pity for the few hunters who had been murdered. She was even able to admit that she was glad that they were no longer alive to continue to spread their poison. Her eyes continued to scan the area frantically in search for Locaine and her father. If she could reach either one, she could possibly end the battle. At least, that is what she had convinced herself.

Stepping forward with a little courage, Novienna could spot her father standing at the edge of the forest, his eyes filled with content. She frowned unable to hide the discomfort she felt seeing her father at peace with such violence and death. It was almost as if he was comfortable with it, as if it was something he had gone too long without and missed dearly. Her stomach continued to flip as she tried to digest the idea that her father was once just like these men. Exactly like these men.

Much to her surprise, Novienna made it towards her father without being disturbed by anyone. Her father stood taller, if possible, as he noticed her approaching him. She examined him unable to hide her disgust as she took notice that he was wearing the exact same uniform as the other hunters.

Victor Valentina stared at his daughter unable to feel excitement in their reunion. He examined her unable to hide his disgust as he took notice that she was wearing the exact same uniform as the other vampires.

Victor pulled his arms behind his back, as he took a step closer to his daughter, who immediately took one backwards. "Novienna." He stated. She looked up at him; her purple, big eyes staring at him with a blank expression. "Are you ready to return home?" He questioned, his hand itching towards his sword as he awaited the answer he knew he was bound to receive.

His action did not go unnoticed by Novienna, who took another slow step backwards before shaking her head at his question. "I cannot go with you anywhere, while you are dressed like that father." She admitted much to his amusement. Victor's lip tilted upwards before he looked down at his clothing in fake confusion.

"Like what?" He tilted his head. Novienna's frown deepened. She could not recognize who the man standing in front of her was anymore. It was almost as if he was a completely different person.

"Like a murderer." She whispered.

The words were music to Victor Valentina's ears, as he let a chuckle escape his lips at his daughter's foolishness. "You have been living with a murderer without a single worry, yet it is your own father who makes you afraid?" The question was rhetorical, yet Novienna could not let it go without giving her own answer.

"Those people kill for entertainment!" She cried out, remembering how the Valentina Hunters had treated Aleksandria and her people. She flinched as she could still hear Aleksandria's daughter cry out for help. "They murdered children, dad. Yet, you wear that cape with pride. Do you not see why I am afraid right now, father?"
