27. day out

okay before you start reading. let's play a game. ill put a lyric and the first reader out the next lyric and it goes so on...

I was woken up to the sound of whispering, sounded like Shawn's parents.

I pretended to stay asleep because it would've been awkward so I nudged Shawn so he would wake up and tell them to go.

"Wakey wakey sunshine" you could hear Karen say to Shawn as he woke up.

"E-erm hi mom. Keep it quiet Maya's still asleep" he said in the nicest way possible.

"Sorry hunny" she said.

"So Shawn, how come she is here" Ouch. That sounded harsh.

"She is going threw a rough time at the moment and I can't leave her alone" Shawn said. I could feel my cheeks start to warm up.

"Is it okay if you guys leave now, I'm going to get ready and wait until she wakes up" he said.

The door shut so I assumed they had left.

I just jolted out of bed. "Thank goodness they are out. Things started to get a little awkward"

He just looked at me in shock then burst out laughing. "You were awake the whole time?"

"Yes. Who else do you think woke you up?" he just laughed.

I got ready in the bathroom whilst Shawn got ready in his room.

We headed downstairs and to the kitchen.

"Morning Mr and Mrs Mendes" I said to Shawn's parents.

"Morning sweetie" they both said in sync.

I went over to the couch where Aaliyah was sitting. I jumped on top of her and hugged here so tight. She hated when I did that.

"Get off" she moaned.

I got off of her and went to sit with Shawn.
We ate breakfast then Shawn dragged me outside to his car, I didn't even get to say bye to his parents.

"Let's go to the park" he said.

He drove us to the park even though we could've just walked there, it would've been much nicer.

My phone started to ring. It was Jonah. Shit.

I just hung up.

"Who is it?" Shawn asked.

"Just those annoying company phone calls" I said lying to him.

He just smiled.

Once we arrived at the park. He intertwined our hands and walked us over the the swings.

The park was empty other than the few people walking their dogs now and then.

We went onto the swings and saw who could swing the furthest.

Obviously me being lighter thank him, I won.

After a few hours of us having alone time, playing, catching up etc...

We went out to eat. He took me to this new urban diner they had in town.

We ate our food, took pictures for instagram of course and headed back to the car.

He drove us back to his house, nobody was home so we went straight up to his bedroom.
