30. goodbyes

So I leave today.

I had moved myself out of bed and away from Shawn's arms.

I had already got my things packed from when I came to Shawn's so I didn't have to worry about that.

It was currently 12am.

I got dressed on in some sweats since i'm going to be in an airplane for hours and need to stay comfortable.

I found this piece of paper and I had to right Shawn a note on it.

Dear Shawn,
I know this is something you really don't want to be seeing replacing me on the bed but this is what it's come to.
Please don't hate me, you have to understand why I'm leaving, especially at this time.
I can't tell you where I am going but I am going to make you a promise.
I will come back soon and love you the way you want to be loved.
I'm extremely sorry and I know leaving with saying goodbye is cruel but I hate goodbyes, they're the hardest things but so are writing letters without letting the other know.
But I wouldn't look at this as a good bye, more like a "I'll see you soon" but the we won't actually know how long 'soon' will be.
I will always have unconditional love for you.
You have such a bright future ahead of you but all I ask is you wait for more. It a lot to ask for but I want you to know that I will always wait for you.
I'm going to be changing my number and everything that you or Jonah can get hold of to find me for the time being.
Let my family know that I love them more then they think and that I had to leave.
They wouldn't understand why.
I will see you soon my beautiful angel, you're a pop star in the making.

I put the letter where I was sleeping so he would find it straight away.

I kissed his head lightly and made my way to the taxi that was waiting for me outside.

"To the airport please" I said to he taxi driver.

I looked at the house one more time, a tear slipped down my face as he stared to drive away.

"Goodbyes are hard ma'am" he says.

"They really are" and just as I said that, I had burst into tears.

20 minutes later.

"Thank you" I said to the taxi driver and gave him the money.

He just drove off.

"Here we go" I said to myself as I made my way to the entrance.

I had went through security check and all the other things we had to do.

I sat down waiting for my flight to be called next to a guy who looked around my age, a cute little smile may I say.

"Hi my names Jacob" he says smiling.

"Maya" I said shaking his hand.

"So where are you heading?" he asks.

"Australia, and you?" I reply.

"Same!" he says a little to enthusiastically.

I just smiled at him. I was really not in the mood right now but he is so sweet bless him.

We just sat in an awkward silence until the monitor had called for our flight.

We both stood up and headed to the gate.

We began to walk up the stairs onto the plane. I made my way to my seat and had sat down, luckily I was next to the window.

The woman just started speaking to everyone about the rules and stuff. I looked to my right and saw I was sat next to the boy, oh.

"So we are sat together aswell? Hmm a coincidence" he said with a little laughter.

I just smiled at him.

We began to move.
And in that moment I was leaving Canada.

I was leaving my home,
my family,
my friends,
the love of my life,
I was leaving my past.

A tear had slipped down my cheek.

I felt somebodies hand on top of mine.

I looked to my side, "I promise it gets easier"
Jacob said.

And just live that, we where gone.
