Patrick's POV
Pete called the guys yesterday for a band meeting telling us he had some important news for us. I got nervous for a bit thinking it would be bad news because lately that's all that's ever been news to us, but thankfully it wasn't.
Andy, Joe and I met up at Pete's house early in the morning. I drove into his driveway and parked my car. I got out and slammed the door shut behind me, trudging up his drive at a slow pace. I stopped at his front door and knocked. Pete swung the door open, a huge smile on his face.
"Hey Pattycakes! We thought you got lost on the way here!" He said, patting my back.
I chuckled softly. "Hey Pete. Sorry about the time, I guess I got a bit carried away."
"It's fine, at least you made it. Now c'mon, I've got good news!"
I stepped into his house and Pete shut the door behind me. I walked into his living room where Joe and Andy were currently sitting watching T.V.
"Hey guys." I said, taking a seat on the black leather couch next to Joe.
"Hey Patrick. How're you feeling?" Joe asked, patting my back.
I shrugged. "Fine, I guess. Nothing new."
"You look dead." Andy said, staring at the screen.
"Thanks Andy." I said sarcastically.
"Any time." He smirked.
Pete walked over to the T.V. and shut it off.
"Okay, here's the deal." He said, sitting in the arm chair across from us.
"Since we've been discussing who we could collaborate with lately for the new album, I've been talking with some people to see who's on the market and you guys will never guess who I got."
The smile on his face was pretty huge, it must have been someone good because I hadn't seen him this excited in ages. I couldn't make myself excited though. That was until after I realized who it was.
"What, are we twerking with Miley Cyrus or something? " Joe asked.
Pete and Andy burst into laughter. I smiled a bit though I didn't feel me at all.
"As interesting as that sounds, " Pete said between chuckles "we're not. This is even better than that. I think Patrick will thank me after this."
I rolled my eyes at him. "This better be good if I'm going to be thanking you."
"Oh but it is." He said. "Fall Out Boy will most likely be collaborating with the lovely and Patrick's favorite, Shareen Vazquez."
"HOLY SMOKES ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" I yelled, jumping up from my seat.
The guys roared into laughter at the sight of me. For a second I started to doubt thinking that they were joking just to get a reaction oit of me but Pete seemed serious when he spoke.
"I'm serious." He said, wiping tears from his eyes.
"What do you mean by 'most likely'? " I asked.
"Well, I called her manager and he said that she'd most likely accept but he still needed to ask for her permission. I'm waiting for him to call back. It should be some time soon."
"This is awesome!" Andy said. "That chick's got a real awesome voice."
"Yeah and she's smoking hot." Joe said, wiggling his eyebrows at me.
I had to admit, she was. Shareen Vazquez had to be my biggest celebrity crush ever. The guys and I started listening to her a couple months ago when she released this song with Imagine Dragons and I seriously couldn't get enough of her voice. All of us started having this little obsession with her though, I had it worse. I feel like one of my fans that always want to tweet us and meet us and listen to our songs all day though, maybe I don't have it thaaat bad.
