The Chance is Lost...

Why again?

Nico's P.O.V

I wake up and feel pounds of guilt on me for what happened to my sister. Maybe if I didn't get carried away this wouldn't of happened. What if this was my fault? I couldn't help feeling that this was all my fault. It should have been me not her. She doesn't deserve any of this.She doesn't seem fragile at all but she is I can tell.Once I have done a lot of thinking I get up and decide to check on how Liz is doing.Last night Jake stayed with her until she fell asleep.I walk through the hallway and past the library when I hear something crash inside Liz's room.I run as fast as I could upstairs into Lizzy's room.Once I open the door I find Liz  sitting on the floor with her hands over her ears mumbling to leave her alone and around her a ripped up picture. I walk over to her and sit next to her. She grips onto me with her dearest life and I hug her.

"Its okay Liz calm down. I'm here." I say. 

"Nico...please don't leave." She says terrified.

"I wont...I promise." I say as I help her stand up.

"Don't lie.." She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"You are going to leave....Once mom comes you will leave." She says as she stops hugging me and backs away.

"Liz..no I wont..I will stay longer. I will stay as long as I have to. I will make sure you are okay." I say.

"Go...away." She says.

"Liz..no come here..its okay.." I say as I walk towards her but she back away even more.

"Stay away." 

"Liz come here." I say softly.She looks up and I see that in her eyes that she is scared.I walk towards her once again and she runs into the bathroom.

"Go away..please..." I hear her say.

"Liz come out you're safe here.." I say as walk towards the bathroom door.Fortunately she didnt lock the door so I was able to go inside."Come here Liz..you're safe." I say and she seems to come back from shock.She stands up from the bathroom floor and walks over to where I am. She hugs me and doesnt say a word.

"Its okay.." I say and stroke her hair.She doesn't say anything and just hugs me.After she stops hugging I tell her its time for us to go eat breakfast and afterwards she could rest.

"No, no more sleep..no more nightmares." She says as I hand her some water for her to relax.

"You have to rest." I say.

"I will try..I will try." She whispers.

"Okay..Liz I want you to stay calm okay you are safe here." I say.She nods and continues drinking her water.

"Nico.." She says.

"Yes?" I say.

"Never mind..thanks for the water." She says.

"Liz why don't you ever tell me what you wanna say you just put it aside?" I ask.

"I don't..I just don't like wasting your time." She says.

"You never waste my time." I say.

"I don't?" 

"No you don't. I will always have time." I say.

"Oh okay." She says and stands up.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"Outside." She says.

"Why?" I ask.

"I need to think." She says and walks out into our backyard.

I sigh and decide to stay in the kitchen in case anything happens.

Lizzy's P.O.V

I walk outside into our backyard and sit down in one of the wooden benches that we have outside. I put my head in my knees and start to think about what did I do deserve all of this.I try to think straight but the voice comes back into my head.I try to get it out of my head by listening to some music but it doesn't really seem to work. I didn't care if I was still in my black with red dots PJ's. I was tired since I didn't get much sleep yesterday. I kept waking up and going back to sleep only to have the same horrible nightmare.Once I got too afraid of going back to sleep I tried to stay awake by watching some T.V but I kept falling back asleep.I felt really tired of all that has happened to me and how some people don't know how to know when to leave you alone.I sometimes mean it other times I don't and want someone to stay and try to cheer me up. 

"Liz are you okay." I hear Nico say.I nod and ask him if we had any ice cream left.

"I'll check and bring you some from the store if there isn't any." He says.

"Thanks." 

"No problem." He says and walks back into the house.

When I was starting to get sleepy again my phone rings. I check who it is and it says unknown. So I decided not to answer.But I get the call once I again. I answer and its him! It was the same voice.

Sorry that this Chapter is really short but my computer's battery is low. I will update later today.
