The Chance is Lost...

Lizzy's P.O.V

I wake up in my brothers room.I  look around and notice Nico isn't in the room so I get up and open the blinds since his room had very little light.As I stretched and looked out the window I noticed it wasn't a sunny day.I put on my shoes and decide to go and eat something.As I walk through the hallway the smell of waffles hits me.As I walk into the kitchen and breathe in the smell of waffles I notice Nico cooking.Which I thought was strange.

"Good morning.."I say.

"Sup."

"Why are you cooking?"

"Well damn cant a guy cook?"

"No.."

"Whatever..."He says and sets up plates for both of us.As he serves me and puts syrup he starts eating but I don't.I remember what happened last night.Nico sighs.

"Why so sad?"He asked.

"What?"

"What happened yesterday?" 

"Nothing.."

"You can tell me.."

"I don't want to talk about it.."I say.

"Ok then.Are you going to visit him today?"He asks and I shrug.As we continue to eat our breakfast the doorbell rings.I went to get it.It was Jake.

"Hey...I heard what happened" He says and hugs me.

"Its okay.."

"Is it okay we if we go pay him  a visit?" He asks and I nod.After I change into my cross sweater and my black skinny jeans with my black Converse we start to head out and leave my dog in care of Nico.As we drove to the hospital Jake noticed I wasn't very happy.

"Why are you so sad?"

"Its nothing.."I say and he gets that I don't want to talk about it.

As we park Jake's car in the parking lot and head into the hospital I freeze and grip onto Jake's hand.He looks at me and sighs.

"We can go home if you want.."He says but I shake my head.

"Just let me talk to him privately first please.."I say and he nods.As I leave Jake in the waiting room I walk to Leos room and just hope that everything is fine.As I reached for the door nob my hand shakes and I slowly open the door.I freeze at the sight of what I see.Kim is full on making out with Leo.

"L-Lizzy!"Leo says as Kim attempts kiss him again.

"Oh she is here.Way to ruin our fun!"Kim says.

"S-sorry I will leave now..." I say.I didn't even mind arguing with Kim.I was done.

"Don't listen to her Liz!It was her..Liz you know I don't like her!"Leo says and pushes Kim away.

"No its okay..."I say.

"Come on Leo...just for once don't lie.You and me were having a lot of fun."Kim smirks.

"Look Leo....I don't care if you do or you don't like Kim.I am not dealing with this bullshit again!"I shout.

"I will leave...But I will be back."Kim says and starts to leave.

As she walked past me I whispered."You cant seem to get enough.Do you?" she just looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"Liz..you know it was her.I was trying to push her away.You know I am weak right now.Please understand."Leo says.I slowly walk over to him and slap him right across the face.

"Yeah..I understand." I say with a smirk.

"I guess I deserve that." 

"Yes you do.."I say as calmly as possible.But I couldn't stay calm."You idiot!Don't you know I still care.I will still get jealous if I see someone else kissing you."

"But I didn't want to kiss her Liz.I still love you.And only you.I didn't mean what I said yesterday." He says.

"I love you too..but not as much as I did before.I think we should be friends from now on." 

"Yes..I understand perfectly...Now come here so I can give you a hug."He says.I accept his request and walked over to him.But he didn't give me a hug instead he grabbed my face and  kissed me. I tried to push him away but he didn't let go.As I tried to move his hands from my face I noticed Jake at the door.

"What is going on?"He asks.

Finally Leo lets go and I run towards Jake but he moves out of the way.

"H-he was going to give me a hug...but he kissed me instead..I was so stupid..."I say but Jake doesn't seem to believe me.Instead he leaves the room silently.I turn around and glare at Leo.

"See what you've done?!You knew he was there.Didn't you?.I hate you Leo!" I say and rush to find Jake.I didn't find him in the waiting room so I raced into the parking lot.I saw him walking towards his car and rush towards him.As I reached him I grabbed his hand and cried in his shoulder."It was him Jake...please believe me.You know I wouldn't do something like that..please..."

He strokes my hair and whispers.."I believe you...just don't cry.." 

"I'm sorry.It was my fault for coming here.I should of stayed home." I say.

"No it isn't your fault..."

"Yes it is..."

"It isn't.Now lets go home.This seems to be a hard day for both of us."He says and lifts me up to go to his car.As he drove I fell asleep again.

Jake's P.O.V 

As we drove home I decided to forgive her because I knew how hard this has been on her.I thought about why  she been sad even before we went into the hospital.Once I parked in front of her house I carried her inside and found Nico playing with the dog I gave her.But as soon as he noticed I was carrying her he stopped and walked up to me.

"Is she okay?" He asked.

"I don't know..she is going through a lot right now." 

"Yeah she is.." 

"Do you why she has been sad since this morning?" I asked.

"No...yesterday when we went to visit him she came out crying of his room.She just said 'I want to go home' and we left."He said and I nodded.

"Oh..well I am going to take her to her room."I said and started to head upstairs with Liz in my arms.As I set her down on her bed.I decided I should stay with her until she woke up just in case she needed anything.
