A/N: Whoo! I updated again for the second time this week! So I have had a few friends of mine complain about Kyle ignoring Mara but as I always say to every bad there is a good and vice versa. And guess what? The good is here! Enjoy!
P.S. This chapter is dedicated to my fellow writer, YaniYussof. Thanks for giving my book a chance.

Chapter 14: I'm sorry for always being a jerk
Mara
Tick. Tick. Tick. Ugh, what in the world is that noise! Why do people always take joy in annoying me awake?! I trudge out if my bed to give it to whoever decided to throw rocks on my terrace doors. If they break my glass door, they are going to have it. I grudgingly open the double doors and find someone I didn't expect at all today. Kyle Meade. And what's weird is how he could've gotten in. I was about to explode at him for his evasiveness and arogancy when he held up a cardboard sign. It said, "I'm sorry for always being a jerk. Forgive me, stud."
My heart melted and my angry expression turned into one of amusement. Kyle was so much like his cousin in so many ways. They both easily removed my anger with doing sweet gestures like this. Although, Kyle's gestures were more epic than Randy's. His gestures always made me feel special.
"What are you doing here?" I whisper-shouted at him and he wiggled his sign from side to side.
"You came here with that just to apologise? Oh my gosh, Kyle! You are such a dork!" I laughed and his nervous frown turned into a hopeful grin. He put the card down and stepped closer.
"Does that mean I'm forgiven?" he said loudly and I shushed him immediately. He was gonna wake my family up. He snickered and I glared at him some more.
"Don't worry, your family is awake. Trav let me in." he told me. Trav. Of course. My sweet and loving but annoying brother just couldn't let me sulk in peace for even just a day. Kyle was still staring at me with a mischievious smile plastered on his face while his brows wiggled menacingly. I rolled my eyes at him and laughed. I couldn't stay mad at him. I was still a bit upset that he started ignoring me all of a sudden but I'll get to the bottom of that later.
"Yes, you're forgiven." I confirmed and he threw his fists up into the air.
"Yes! Thank you!" he cried triumphantly and I laughed.
"But you still owe me an explanation, sensei." I told him and he nodded vigorously. I told him to wait for me downstairs for 15 minutes while I got dressed and ready for school.
After I got dressed in a thigh-length white chiffon sundress, gray leather jacket and velvet black ankle boots pumps, I went downstairs to see my Mom and Dad eating breakfast. I grabbed a toast and a bottle of pineapple juice on the way out.
