A/N: Wait, DON'T SHOOT! I am so terribly and extremely sorry for my very late update. I've just been so busy with school and other stuff that I had to put my writing aside. I've had a really bad and emotional day today but this is how I cheer myself and all of you up. I really feel bad for being two weeks late but thanks for the friends who have been pestering me non-stop to update. Because of you guys, I managed to feel guilty and update. I hope this chapter doesn't disappoint and will be enough to humbly beg for all of your forgiveness. Sorry also for the long A/N but it was inevitable due to the circumstances. Phew! (fingers cramping ;D) Enjoy, bookies!
P.S. This chapter is dedicated to the friends, aka pests ^_^, who determinedly annoyed me to update. You know who y'all are! Love you all!
Chapter Song: Who You Love by John Mayer ft. Katy Perry(Idk why a lot of people hate this song but have you actually listened to it? I'm pretty sure everyone who is and has ever been in love can totally relate to it. And plus I always imagine Kyra singing along to this song. Hehe...)
Chapter 16: A hug and two left feet
Mara
"Nope. Definitely not that one. Try the red one." Bree insisted as she pointed to the red flared cocktail dress I was holding up with my left hand. I did as she commanded for the hundredth time. We've been in this boutique for two hours and we've been in three boutiques before this one. I came out and gave her a twirl and she pursed her lips deep in thought. I was hoping that this dress would be the one because frankly, I was so tired from fitting over a hundred dresses. I had roughly an hour and a half left until the dinner but I was still lacking the perfect outfit to complete my look tonight.
"It looks okay but not quite. Try the blue one." she told me and pointed to the last dress I was holding up. I groaned frustrated and she gave me a look. I trudged back into the fitting room and tugged on the dress. I inspected myself in front of the mirror. Wow. I really like this dress. Please let it be the one to satisfy Bree. It went down till my mid-thigh and it had a cute sweetheart neckline with thin straps. It was dark blue in colour with even darker blue patterns and was made of soft chiffon. It really did look amazing on me, not to sound vain but it really matched my eyes and my fair complexion. And total plus, it went along great with the silver ballet flats I bought earlier.
