A/N: Omg! I am so sorry for the one week delay. It's back to school again so as per usual I am busy with schoolwork yet again. Anyways, here it is. Sorry for the mistakes. Enjoy, bookies!
P.S. Dedicated to my one and only sis-in-law, @sherryfinramos. I have been having fun getting to meet and know you for the first time. We both have a lot in common and I am grateful for that.
Chapter Song: Fallen by Imagine Dragons(Because if you haven't already guessed, Mara and Kyle are starting to fall for each other! Yeah!)
Chapter 10: Getting to know each other
Kyle
"Ugh... Can we take a break? We've been studying for two hours straight!" Mara complained while her face was buried in her bed. I couldn't help but laugh. She was so adorable when she complained. She had this cute little pout everytime she was upset about something.
"Okay, Mara. We can take a break." I chuckled and she jumped up from her bed.
"Yes! Thanks, Sensei." she squealed excitedly and I smiled watching her skip to her walk-in closet. I shook my head and sat down on her bed. I took in the pictures she had in her room. She had pictures of her and Bree, her with her twin, her with Felix and along with their other friends, Sara, Trisha, Michael and Tommy if I'm not mistaken. Her parents weren't present either. I wonder why? But no Randy. She took them down I guess. To avoid the memories. She must really love him still. Of course she does. My brooding was interrupted when Mara skipped back into the room with a huge bag of Gummi Worms in her hands.
"Hey. Want some?" she asked me and offered the bag to me. I reached in and took a handful.
"Sure, thanks. So, you hide Gummies in your closet?" I tried hard not to laugh. She gave me a look and stuck her tongue out at me.
"I have a fetish for Gummies, okay! Don't complain! I know you like them too, sensei. Everyone loves Gummies!" she stated and I smirked at her pet name for me. We've only known each other for about a week officially and yet she already had a nickname for me. I'll have to come up with one for her as well then. But what? What could be a good counterpart for Sensei? Sensei... I got it!
"That I do, stud." I confessed sheepishly . Her eyebrows shot up and a smile curved her lips.
"Stud?" she drawled and I shrugged nonchalantly.
"Short for student." I explained and she nodded thoughtfully.
"I see. Weird choice in nicknames." she murmured and I tried to gauge her initial feeling towards the nickname.
