The following day, true to her word, an invitation arrives for Victoria and Daniel. They are both cordially invited to the Cotillion dance which will be held in five days time, they are welcome to arrive early and to send a notice of when they would be arriving.

"Should we go?" Victoria asks after a small general meeting of the weeks events

"The kingdom would be left unprotected my Queen" her advisor says

"I'll be leaving my father in temporary charge" Victoria says calmly and smiles "he's more than capable of taking care of the threats"

"Yes, I hear he is quite a vicious man" her head of army, Gustav, chuckles

"He is" Victoria agrees "the kingdom will be fine"

"I'm alright with it" Gustav says putting his hand behind his head and looking very relaxed. Her advisor takes a deep breath and nods

"Alright" she says finally, rolling her gray eyes at them "but only for three days"

"Deal" Daniel smiles

"Well then I'll make the preparations" the advisor sighs and stands, she bows to Victoria and leaves.

Two days later everything is set. Daniel will take a small detour to visit his mother and father and he'll meet her on the day of the dance. They get on their separate ships and sail off.

Almost immediately Victoria starts to feel dizzy. Despite loving the sea and having the wind in her hair; the waves that rock the boat also rock her stomach. But she prepared for that and takes out a small crystal bottle from her pocket. She drinks the potion in one swing and waits for it to kick in.

When the potion kicks in, Jeremy her personal guard appears behind her.

"The ships in perfect state" he reports

"Thank you Jeremy" Victoria smiles and takes a seat on one of the chairs on deck "have a seat Jeremy, we have five hours of open sea ahead of us" Jeremy nods and sits down, stiff as ever.

After a couple of hours, Victoria closes her eyes and looks out of the ships figureheads eyes, her own open again completely white. The figurehead, a sea witch, is carved out of black and brown wood found on the island, crafted by the best artist found. The sea witch has eight tentacles and long flowing hair. The artist managed to sculpt her as if she were in the middle of swimming; Victoria loved it from the moment she saw it.

"Land" Victoria whispers as she sees a small strip of land in the distance

"Land ahead!" The captain yells seconds later making Victoria smile she stands and breaks the connection with the figurehead. She stands next to the captain and stands there while Auradon slowly grows larger. The closer they get Victoria starts to distinguish the Isle of the Lost, she bows at the villains still trapped there but it's not her place to intervene. At the dock, Victoria gets off smiling with Jeremy close behind her. There's a limo waiting for them, they put her suitcases in the trunk and help her into the car, Jeremy gets in and sits in front of her. The driver gets in and they're off.

"Chocolate?" Victoria asks Jeremy who shakes his head "we're here to have fun Jeremy. Loosen up a bit" Jeremy ignores her and stays up tight as ever

"Suit yourself" Victoria shrugs and throws a piece of chocolate into her mouth but it's snatched by Jeremy

"Hey!" She pouts and he takes a bite, waits a few seconds and hands it back

"It's safe to eat my Queen" he says

"You just wanted a piece didn't you?" Victoria asks, Jeremy doesn't answer but he licks his lips which is answer enough.

When they arrive at Auradon prep Victoria reaches for the handle but pauses. The last time she saw these people she killed one of their parents and the other was incarcerated. Even though she was royally pardoned days later, these kids must hate her. It doesn't matter. Victoria takes a deep breath and opens the door.
