They arrive to the private section that Ben mentioned. Lonnie carries Jay out of the car with Carlos's help and Jeremy carries Victoria who doesn't feel bad until he carries her, then her back screams in pain.
"What happened?" one of the healers asks rushing to them and leading them to tables where they can set them down
"They were both stabbed by a hook" Lonnie explains
"He's worse than I am" Victoria croaks "help him first"
"My queen" Jeremy warns
"Him first" Victoria orders but a second healer arrives and they're both treated at the same time, much to Jeremy's relief. Victoria is all patched up in an hour. Jay on the other side takes another two hours before he's stable.
"He'll be alright" the healer informs them "he'll live"
"Thank god" Lonnie sighs
"We'll keep him here over night just in case" the healer explains
"Of course" Ben nods
"Can I stay with him?" Lonnie asks immediatly
"Yes" the healer smiles "the rest of you should get some rest" they all nod and slowly climb the stairs that will lead them back into the castle.
"What now?" Evie asks as the top of the stairs
"It's all over" Ben sighs no one looks completly certain, but no one wants to burst the bubble.
"Tomorrow is Cotilion" Evie sighs "it seemed so important" she chuckles and shakes her head
"Technically today is Cotilion" Victoria says playfully "it's one in the morning"
"Oh" Evie says
"Everything's going to be all right" Ben says mattery a a fact "we all need to get some sleep" everyone nods and go their seperate ways. Evie, Mal and Victoria stop between their rooms
"Mal," Victoria starts, Mal turns around, her eyes are unfocused but she's listening "you can't go back to the isle. You know that right?" Mal nods slowly
"But," Victoria continues "you can always come with me" Mal looks at her, surprised "if you truly don't want to stay here, you can come back with me to Vernelle. Think about it" Victoria gives them both a hug despite her back protesting in pain. They all go inside their rooms, Jeremy helps her undress and into bed.
"Anything you need my queen, I am right here" Jeremy says giving her a rare smile
"I know" Victoria smiles and falls asleep. Hours later she wakes up. Jeremy is fast asleep somewhere in the room. Victoria quietly stands and goes to her closet, takes out some clothes and silently sneaks out of the room. She walks down the stairs and uses one of the side door to go outside. Victoria walks five minutes to Auradon's piers, thankfully they're near because she forgot to put on shoes.
"Uma" she whispers into the night "Uma"
"Over here" a voice calls back to her. Victoria follows the voice and finds Uma stretched out on the sand, breathing heavily
"You made it" Victoria smiles
"You could have left me a boat or something to float on" Uma grumbles as Victoria hands her a towel and she dries herself off
"That wouldn't be any fun would it?" Victoria smirks "besides you've always been a strong swimmer, it's in your blood"
"I hate you" she growls
"I just saved you Uma" Victoria says and pokes her forehead "you should be thanking me"
"Thank you" she grumbles
"You're welcome" Victoria smiles
"So what now?" Uma asks and changes into the dry clothes Victoria brought her
"I don't know. It's not my problem" Victoria shrugs
"You're a great friend you know that?" Uma rolls her eyes exhasperated
"Well I do try" Victoria smiles "you can stay here in Auradon and make some chaos, you could come with me to Vernelle, or you could figure it out. It's up to you"
"Up to me" Uma whispers
"You can chose Uma" Victoria squeezes her hand "you have choices now"
"I do" Uma says smiling slightly, she pushes her braids back and leans on her hands to watch the rising sun
"This is your new start Uma" Victoria says "don't ruin it"
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind" she huffs annoyed but grateful
"I have to go" Victoria says rising to her feet
"Thank you Victoria" Uma says ernestly
"You're welcome. Villains stick together, remember that" Victoria smiles "and don't make me regret saving you"
"I didn't find Harry" Uma calls after Victoria, it stops her dead in her tracks "I searched for him but he wasn't there. Thought you should know"
"Maybe the current pulled him away" Victoria says shakily, but they both know it's a lie
"Maybe" Uma says sadly, she knows how terrified Victoria is of Harry. Victoria blinks away tears and walks back to the castle.
