~Thomas POV~

Thomas walked out of the bedroom to find his boyfriend, Alexander, typing on his laptop. Like always. He was getting ready to go clubbing with a bunch of their friends like they usually did every weekend.

Recently, Alex had stopped going out because of his work. Apparently, work was more important that his own boyfriend and their friends.

"Lexi~ c'mon. Just go out with us this weekend? Surely you can spare a few hours!" Thomas whined and sat down on the couch next to Alex.

"Thomas, I'm sorry but I cant. I have to do this. I promise I'll go eventually just not this weekend ok?" he replied, his eyes still glued to the screen and his fingers typing full speed.

"You said that last time! You havent gone out with us in a month!" Thomas exclaimed. He was starting to get mad. "You know, I'm starting to think you dont really care anymore!"

"Thomas I love you. I love you with all my heart. Believe me when I say this. I'm doing all this work for you. You'll see."

But Thomas just shook his head. He would deal with this when he got home. He opened the door and stormed out to meet his friends.

~Alex POV~

Alex frowned as his boyfriend stomped out the door. He would explain to him tomorrow why he had been working so hard. Then, he would see.

He would understand that all the if it was for him.

Thomas was his light and life. Without him, Alex felt empty. He loved him more than words could explain.

As Alex finished typing his last document and sent it to his boss, he received his paycheck (online). Alex squeeled and put his coat on.

He ran out of his apartment and went to buy something with all the money he had saved up.

~THOMAS POV~

Meanwhile, Thomas was in the other side of town being really drunk with all his friends.

Laf and Herc were drunkenly making out while James and John were shamelessly flirting with one another. Burr and Theodosia were on the dance floor having a good time being sober. They werent big drinkers. The Schuylers were being crowded with men, being the three prettiest and richest girls in the city. They could take care of themselves though. They had been through many situations like this before.

This left Thomas alone. Usually, he would be having a good time being drunk with Alex but he wasnt here.

Thomas stumbled around laughing and dancing before he bumped into a very attractive lady. Since he was drunk, he couldnt help himself.
